@TomsPedalDemos I think high-end multi-FX have always killed the pedalboard for modulation, delay, reverb, pitch shift, and some specialty FX.

I'm not running a Boss DD-3T if I can run a 2290. Or a Holy Grail if I can run a Bricasti.

@Mikehomeseller Beck is shockingly overrated. Whatever problems Page had with performing on heroin, Beck had far more problems stone cold sober. Like 2/3 of his recorded output is abject shit - out ot tune, out of time garbage.

Plus Page has hundreds of studio credits, some on notable tracks.

Then there's a marketing effort to profit from those who don't understand this. And that marketing effort has had some success.

Every acoustic steel string guitar since God created CF Martin has the same break angle and string angle at the nut. It's not a problem. And it has nothing to do with Gibson per se.

@DrGuitar In marketing class, absolutely. In music class, no. The Beatles were incompetent musicians (although George Martin was a beast) but Brian Epstein was an absolute genius. He created (and arguably perfected) the boy band marketing model.

@mccogdog @TomsPedalDemos At least for me Elixir is way cheaper over time. EBs are nasty black oxide after one gig. Elixirs last literally tends if not 100x as long until I finally break a high E at the saddle.

@TomsPedalDemos Elixir 10s on almost everything. They basically last me forever without rusting. Hundreds of hours.

The White Falcon gets 11s. The Heritage Eagle gets 12s with a wound G. The acoustic gets 11s. All Elixir.
