Thinking about the EU and crypto, I see some parallels to the largest players in emerging tech, such as Airbnb and Uber（Try asking the AI: In which countries have Uber and Airbnb been banned? ）Many global tech giants’ regulatory setbacks but came back stronger for it.
As for Binance and Europe, we take this market seriously. It's a small part of our business, but an important one, and we're committed to the EU and our customers there.
Building trust with regulators takes time—through engagement and better communication. We're committed to doing that work.
It is my expectation that Binance, and other crypto providers, will become the strongest gatekeepers of the financial system, far more than TradFi given the underlying technology and market forces driving adoption. We've made real strides in recent years and we're not slowing down.

Data doesn't lie, but those who can't read data can spread lies.

Claims of a multibillion dollar bank run spread by those misinterpreting data from platforms like Coinglass and DefiLlama are completely baseless. Based on onchain movements, here are the facts,

🖇️It’s Not an Outflow, It’s Wallet Optimization and Network Maintenance
Analysis sites often fail to distinguish between external withdrawals and Binance’s internal wallet management.

Tron Maintenance, primary source of movement around February 11 was the preannounced Tron network maintenance. To ensure a seamless user experience, Binance rebalanced funds across various networks (ZKSYNCERA, ALGO, APT, etc.).

Data Evidence, In latest reserve report, massive USDC and ETH balances in wallets such as 0x4368... and 0x7aed... prove that the funds remain securely within the system, merely shifted across different network layers.

🖇️The $1 Billion SAFU Conversion Reality
Stablecoin outflow that caused market panic was actually a strategic security move.

The Fact, Between January 30 and February 12, 2024, Binance transitioned its SAFU reserves from stablecoins to #Bitcoin .

When stablecoins are converted to BTC, tracking bots often flag this as a cash outflow from the exchange. In reality, no capital left the platform,the assets were simply upgraded to a stronger reserve currency .

🖇️Reserves Maintained at 1 1 Ratio (Bigger than 1:1)
Our current dataset confirms that Binance’s $150 billion reserve is fully backed, cent for cent.Actually, Binance holds reserves at a ratio greater than 1:1 for every dollar of user assets, staying over-collateralized independently of any peg.

Liquidity, Even the alleged $17 billion outflow is a manageable volume for Binance’s daily operations. The exchange continues to hold user funds at a 1:1 ratio plus additional reserves. These are the numbers that would cause most other CEX to crash immediately.
