If you're heading SB, @waze finds the #TaconicStateParkway to @NYSBridge bridges similar to the NB detour, but check alt routes in your app if you prefer to stay on the highway.

A reminder if you're traveling west from the MA border into New York, the Berkshire Spur is closed at exit B1 (Albany - Hudson - I-90) due to emergency maintenance. Westbound drivers must exit at B1 and can connect to the Thruway via I-90 at exit 24 or I-787 at exit 23.
