To erase a nation's identity, make them forget their history, culture, and, above all, their language. Every Pashtun must learn to read and write Pashto—their mother tongue!

The apparent willingness to negotiate with armed actors while sidelining nonviolent political voices sends a contradictory message. Durable peace requires inclusion, not exclusion. This verdict has deepened the trust gap btw state n Baloch, making the path to reconciliation unclear
Conviction of the BYC leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch & her colleagues for life shuts the doors for peaceful political solution. It’s a colonial & myopic policy that prefers violence over peace. The ones who insisted on talks with Taliban in Afg are rejecting negotiations with Baloch.
Bacha Khan Green Foundation has procured books by Maulana Khanzeb Sahib for its upcoming plantation drive. Alongside tree plantation, these books will be distributed to promote a culture of reading and intellectual growth. Trees green the land, while books enlighten the mind.
The attack on Dr.Mahnoor Nasar is a cowardly act of violence aimed at silencing women who dare to serve, lead and stand in public spaces. No woman should have to fear for her life while carrying out her duty. This is an attack on every woman striving to serve her community!
State of nature, where life is insecure, harsh, violent and no one is protected... A doctor spends years in struggle and sacrifice, only to face threats, blame, acid attacks? Pathetic
Bacha Khan saw what many failed to see: stones can build walls, but only compassion, education, and peace can build a nation. What he planted wasn’t just peace, it was consciousness. That’s why his idea of nationhood still feels ahead of its time.
Bacha Khan knew that you cannot build a nation on dry stone, you must first nourish the soul of the soil. He planted seeds of peace where others saw only stones.
The state may celebrate ‘marka e haq’, but on the ground, it has effectively lost its writ in pashtunkhwa. The consequences of decades old failed policies n proxies are unfolding in plain sight, yet there is still no accountability, and no lasting vision for peace.
The latest massacre in Bannu in a terror attack & other casualties in southern districts of Pakhtunkhwa reflects failure of the state’s anti-terror strategy based on the Zia era’s bankrupt Afghan policy. Stop efforts to turn Afg into Pak’s protectorate & peace will be possible.
It’s encouraging to witness women entering political spaces from which they have been excluded. This isn’t just symbolic, but meaningful as progress depends on women being actively involved in shaping the decisions that affect their lives. W/o them, real change isn’t just possible
Kudos to #NDM Balochistan/Pakhtunkhwa leadership for pushing the tribal patriarchal barriers that obstruct #Pashtun women’s participation in politics. NDM will continue its struggle for women’s equal rights & participation.
Bacha khan understood what many still deny: Pashtun honor is not control over women, but trust in thier freedom. When he called for nonviolent resistance, our women led jalsas, defying both patriarchy and empire. Today their descendants are told their place is within four walls.
Women’s rights were integral to #BachaKhan’s struggle for social reform in Pashtun society. He challenged restrictive customs that denied women education, mobility & dignity. He believed a nation could not progress if half of its population was oppressed.
#RememberingBachaKhan
People call him the Frontier Gandhi, but Bacha khan was more than Gandhi. He led the worlds largest nonviolent movements, and redefined Pashtun honor by replacing bloodshed with discipline n education. The world remembers Gandhi, Pashtuns remember Bacha khan.
#BachaKhanWeek2026
Blaming an entire ethnic culture for terrorism is wrong. Pashtunwali is a code of honour that protects life, dignity, and education. Attacking a girls school violates Pashtunwali and every human value. TTP is a militant group, not a culture. Collective blame only fuels hatred!
Pashtun culture has always been richer than the narrow lenses others try to force on it. A professor celebrating our heritage through attan is something to be proud of, not attacked for!
A professor from Malakand Uni, performed a cultural dance. religious organizations targeted him with propaganda.
We stand with the professor.
This is our identity.
The artificial narratives imposed on us by the world, reinforced by fundamntalists never define the Pashtun identity
In a land shaped by conflict, bacha khan proved courage doesn’t need gunfire. His nonviolent path still feels revolutionary. It isn’t surrender, but a radical redefinition of power: choosing principle when violence is easier. It was strength rooted in dignity, justice, discipline
Pashtun identity has always been bigger than any regime. It doesn’t belong to either, but rather to the people who have suffered on both sides of ‘project Taliban’s’ equation. Real nationalism is rooted in justice, culture, and human rights. Not in silence or forced binaries
A lazy version of Pashtun nationalism is emerging. They equate criticizing Taliban with supporting the military establishment to cover their own silence about "Project Taliban". Surrendering Afghan-Pashtun nationalism to Taliban is the worst thing you can do with Afghan identity.
Pashtuns are the primary victims of terrorism and project Taliban. Despite this, we are too often stereotyped and repeatedly made to prove our loyalty. It’s time to stop scapegoating Pashtuns for every security lapse;accountability lies with authorities, not victims.
From Bhutto and Wali khan’s democratic vision to a militarised constitution passed by an unelected house, Pakistans democracy has been replaced by dictatorship in disguise. The ballet is gone, now the barrel reigns!
After 26th & 27th amendments, the fed-demo-parl 1973 constitution, shaped by Z.A. Bhutto-led govt and Abdul Wali Khan-led opposition has come to an end. Welcome to the militarised constitution 2025, passed by an unelected parliament. Pakistan on a journey to nowhere yet again!
For 40+years we warned the state against backing the mujahideen, later Taliban, and urged to revise the Afghan policy. Ignored then, now the instability we contributed to beyond Durand Line is spilling back into Pakistan and will consume us unless action is taken!
Nationalist leaders in Pakistan faced backlash for criticizing the country's Afghanistan policy. Labeled unpatriotic and lacking religious sympathy for extremism, they endured abuse from media and propaganda.
Now, they're proven right: Afghanistan policy backfired, and religious groups are causing unrest and division. @NDM Chairman @mjdawar's historic warning about favoring the Taliban agenda is spot-on today
No justification can wash away the blood of innocent Afghan lives. Pakistan’s recent strikes won’t bring stability but only fuel resentment across border. Bombs can’t solve what decades of flawed policies created.Pashtuns are more than collateral! #StopPashtunGenocide
Even in the middle of war with India, when bombs were falling on major cities, people still spoke of humanity and the tragedy of civilian loss. The fact that today, even the most liberal voices are baying for blood shows how deeply Afghans have been dehumanised in our discourse.
