While shutdown politics kept me in D.C., I was glad to join @ChildrensHD virtually to talk about truth, censorship, and accountability. We must never let government silence science again.
Massie’s solution, the PRIME Act, would allow small custom slaughter facilities to avoid major processors by selling cuts of meat directly to consumers. Massie argues that this would open up competition and force the conglomerates to operate more fairly.

🥩 🇺🇸 How is it that Congress is in recess, the lights are turned out, and the doors are locked, yet I can post a five minute speech on why we need Country of Origin Labels for beef?
Because I gave this speech 10 years ago!
Sen. Rand Paul on the government shutdown: "If you put Senator Kaine and I in a room, I think we could figure something out...I suggest President Trump come forward, name three Republicans and three Democrats in the Senate to an official commission to figure this out."
My first filibuster in 2013 was over John Brennan. To say I'm not a fan of his is an understatement. I'm glad to see he's being held accountable for his role in the Russia collusion hoax.
Democrats are offering $3T in debt. The Republicans are offering $2T in debt. I say we forget both plans and instead opt for my Six Penny Plan, which would balance the budget in 5 years.
Two people survived one of the recent boat strikes. They were not detained, not checked for drugs, not prosecuted. They were sent back to be tried in their own country. If the strike was based on the assumption that the boat was carrying drugs, and the survivors weren’t even investigated, do we suspect government simply didn’t have enough proof in the first place?
The Constitution requires Congress to authorize war. Until then treat this as law enforcement, not warfare.
Lesson to be learned: Adhering to due process prevents chaos and protects the Fourth Amendment. You don’t maintain order by abandoning the Constitution.
We don’t blow up boats off Miami because 25% of the time suspicion is wrong.
We shouldn’t do it off Venezuela either. These are small outboards with no fentanyl and no path to Florida.
We can’t just kill indiscriminately because we are not at war. It’s summary execution!
Everyone gets a trial because sometimes, the system gets it wrong. Even the worst of the worst in our country get due process.
The bottom line is that execution without process is not justice, and blowing up foreign ships is a recipe for chaos.
