Today, January 18, 2023, Faith in Texas members and community leaders got together for the reschedule of the Christmas Bail Out. Leaders posted bail for 20 members today, and provided clothing and food for them after they were released🙏
Faith In Texas kicks off the Martin Luther King Beloved Community Weekend Celebration with the youth. Organizers taught students the history on MLK and had interactive discussions regarding it. The event engaged the students in developing a deeper understanding of Dr. King’s work
All people deserve to be kept safe from COVID19, including people who were and continue to be incarcerated. Thank you to the @aclutx for arguing on my behalf to obtain public records on how the Dallas County Jail handled the pandemic. The community deserves transparency.
Today, on November 6th , community leaders and families got together to support the families of people who have had loved ones lose their lives while being incarcerated. Many leaders also voiced their concerns and experiences that they seen through the incarceration system.
Shoutout to community who PULLED UP today for our neighbors who are incarcerated in Dallas County Jail. We will continue to be present until we free them all. We will continue to organize until we end jail deaths.
