The international community must step up for the Rohingya.

With humanitarian support for refugees in Cox’s Bazar and beyond falling far short of what is needed, we must act together to prevent an already desperate situation from becoming a deeper humanitarian crisis.

As penholder on Myanmar, the UK must lead efforts to secure adequate aid, safe and dignified living conditions for Rohingya people.

We must also intensify diplomatic efforts towards an end to the conflict in Myanmar and the conditions for safe, voluntary and dignified repatriation.

Until that day comes, more than one million displaced Rohingya deserve safety, dignity and the support they need to rebuild their lives.
