The newly formed Krewe of Themis will parade with Krewe of Freret.
Krewe of Themis, was founded this year by former members of Nyx sisters who have been outspoken over Nyx Captain Julia Lea’s social media posts. @FOX8NOLA
It is one way the Krewe of Themis aims to give back to our community and uphold our mission and value of promoting social justice in New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Tuesday the Krewe of Themis, including President Kimya Holmes, Vice President-Membership Kiana Wright, Treasurer Charmaine Davis, and Parliamentarian Michelle Beaty, had the honor of presenting our inaugural "Fees for Philanthropy" donation to the First 72+.
"Fees for Philanthropy" takes fees collected from late membership dues and donates them to a charitable organization. Recipients are nominated by and voted on by the members of the Krewe.

"Just as buildings in California have a greater need to be earthquake proofed, places where there is greater racial polarization in voting have a greater need for prophylactic measures to prevent purposeful race discrimination." - Notorious RBG 💔💔💔
