It’s our season finale! One question we asked every participant on this season was super important for us. Why? To help you. That question was: What would you tell your younger self? Today we’re hearing from our awesome host, Samantha Logan. Let's her her story. #wegotyou
"Healing's a never ending process, so kids shouldn't feel the need to put any pressure on themselves to just be better fast. You're allowed to give yourself the time to process in whatever way you have to for however long." Thanks to everyone who shared their stories! #wegotyou
Friends, Bullying, Anxiety. But more importantly getting through it, finding courage, knowing who you are, understanding those who have your back. We thought it'd be fun to hear from some of our participants from this past season, to remind us of how far we have come. #wegotyou
6 teens chose to honor the death of their friend by creating an organization for other kids who may be suffering. Never Alone at North normalizes asking for help, creates a community through mentorship, and provides a system of camaraderie and check-ins. #mentalhealth#wegotyou
Using someone’s correct pronouns is as important as using their own name. Recognition is as, if not more, important than support as an ally for the LGBT+ community. Bassie came out as non-binary at the age of 14. And even then, they knew who they were. #pronouns#lgbt#wegotyou
Today we talk to Lauren, a 15 year old who really has never known her parents being together. Although that was confusing at times, she found that through expressing her feelings to her parents, no matter how hard, she stopped feeling so stuck in the middle.

Loss is difficult in any form. For Jaylin, he lost his parents before he was 9. It can be easy to let that totally overwhelm you. Jaylin learned that while it might feel like this will last forever, be patient. Things will get better. There is always hope. #wegotyou@BBBSA
18 yr old Jaylin is the 2020 #BBBS Youth of The Year Award winner. Kids have a lot to deal with growing up, but when one has lost both parents before the age of 9, there is far more to navigate. Hear Jaylin talk about how despite his trauma he held on to hope.

When he was 13, Beck went on a volunteer trip. Not only did he not know anyone, but he was the youngest person there. That can be so intimidating! Would he make friends? Or would the trip be the loneliest experience of his life? Let’s hear how he came through. #friends#wegotyou
Meet Melissa! "...I want myself to remember my worth and that I can do so much more than what anybody thinks I'm capable of or what even I think I'm capable of...When you are trying your best that's all that matters." Thanks for sharing your story! #wegotyou
We're talking to Melissa who never knew when her dad would show up. She just wanted him to be in her life. But as Melissa learned, you can’t let them control how you feel. No matter what, you should always try your best and remember your worth. You matter. #selfworth#wegotyou
Melissa is 16 yrs old. Her parents separated when she was barely 5. She lived mainly with her mother, and although her father was present in her life, it was never consistent. Today, she talks about how that affected her, and what she learned in the process. #separation#wegotyou
Meet Taylar! “So until someone explains yeah, my parents are divorced, too, you feel like you're the only one carrying that weight. You're not alone in that. You can reach out to anyone, because I know that's a big thing.” Thanks for sharing your story! #divorce#wegotyou
Feeling like the only kid with an absent parent can be hard. Taylar couldn't help but wonder if it was her fault. But she realized it wasn't. Sometimes divorce happens and you don't know why. What she did know, is that she wasn't alone. #divorce#fostercare#podcasts#wegotyou
This week on #wegotyou: Taylar’s parents divorced when she was really young, and having her Dad missing from school events was super hard on her. This week, she talks about what that felt like when she was in middle school, and how she feels about it all now. #divorce#podcasts
Meet Asha! "If I didn't have ADHD my entire approach would have just been different and I would have felt differently. And I like being around people and I like being like bubbly and an extrovert. ADHD is who I am." Thanks for sharing your story, Asha!
#adhd#podcasts#wegotyou
When she was younger, Asha was diagnosed with ADHD. It’s pretty common, but when you’re first diagnosed it can feel like you're the only one who has it. She talks to us today about understanding that what makes her different, gives her a superpower.

"I found something to look forward to. You feel like you've seen everything. You feel like you you know more than you actually do. And then you realize there's a life after this. Maybe I should see if it's worth while, and it usually is." Thanks for sharing your story! #wegotyou
