San Francisco, CA- When you are writing for periodicals and not websites, in all likelihood somebody gets paid to look over your written copy before it goes to print. And when I work with Editors, I try to insure my typed copy is perfect SO he or she doesn’t have an excuse to change anything.

If, no, when I find minor mistakes in my stuff like the next day I want to scream out loud! SO it’s not like YOU are the only one suffering from my Typos! When I was with the Oakland Tribune newspaper, I worked under 3 Editors: 1 for Music/Entertainment, another for Sports & the 3rd for the News section. The only-est time I ever had any “issues with Editors” is when they cut my copy. WHY? Because I had a nice deal where they “Paid Pedro by the word.”

I had written that back up singer & later Platinum recording artist Jon Secada had the “best voice of anybody” on stage. That apparently really pissed OFF Emilio Estefan!
WRITING SO STRESSFUL IN HIGH SCHOOL…NOBODY GOT A PASS

I wrote a story on the front page of the South San Francisco High School Newspaper about the Principal Tom Gaffney being “Arrested Twice” in 6 months for DUI. I was 17 & working with a “source” from within the South San Francisco Police Dept., nobody knew that “I had the Gaffney Arrest Reports.”

CAN’T SILENCE PEDRO, “SO WE WILL FLUNK HIM OUT”

One week after taking pictures of Principal Gaffney NOW being dropped OFF & picked UP at school by his daughter, I get “thrown out” of Science class by Gaffney’s drinking buddy Mr. Cohen. It’s mid March and I’m supposed to graduate in 60 days, but not without Science credits. So I took and passed a Correspondence Course which gave me a Free Period that I used to “Walk By, Stand & Wave” at Mr. Cohen.

“TOSSED OUT” OF GRADUATION PRACTICE

But wait, the South City high suits were not done trying to extract “revenge” as Pedro was THROWN out of Graduation rehearsal and WASN’T given a reason. I didn’t graduate on stage and the only one who got mad was my Mom! I realized that no matter what, after the pain I put that Administration through countless times as Editor, do they really think not being on Stage would have any effect on me?
