There's no sure way to prevent lung cancer especially if caused by a genetic factor, but you can reduce your risk if you:
1. Don't smoke.
2. If you currently smoke, stop smoking now.
3. Test your home for radon.
5. Avoid carcinogens at work.
6. Eat a healthy diet
November is wrapping up quickly and with it being the month honouring lung cancer awareness, I felt I should discuss a bit about lung cancer for those who are interested in learning more. (1/4)
Lung cancer can be caused by many risk factors other than smoking. These risk factors include exposure to other people's smoke (called secondhand smoke), radon, air pollution, a family history of lung cancer, and asbestos.
