Floridians, specifically Palm Beach County, District 87; early voting is now through March 22. March 24th is Election Day. Dems are calling this a “Flip Opportunity” as Republican turnout is VERY LOW! Vote John Maples (R) NOW or end up with a Democrat!!! 🐊
BREAKING: Florida House just passed a bill holding teachers unions accountable.
The vote was 73–37.
It requires 50% voting in support to recertify. 50% quorum needed.
It bans taxpayer-funded union time for politics.
It passed the Senate 20–14.
It now goes to @GovRonDeSantis.
Most of Congress just voted to kill the bill that would expose slush funds used to pay off sexual harassment cases by members of Congress. Both parties helped cover up. Now in committee, we’re making the same motion to subpoena that documents and expose them all. Drain.The.SWAMP!

Where? We don’t have state income tax and don’t want it. Sales and bed taxes can’t go to pay for police and fire without a law change. Which sounds great but if they do one and not the other it won’t work. Not to mention if they do this then municipalities and counties have no reason to build housing when businesses bring in revenue. They can change zoning laws to drop commercial as they want in places people might not want but what recourse do the “tax payers, who no longer pay the taxes” have to stop it? If I go before my city council and say “as a tax payer I would prefer to have my money spent this way or that way” why should they listen?
