Illinois ranks dead last in jobs growth among big states under Pritzker.
Even as he touts economic momentum and new investments, only 9,400 private sector jobs have been added since 2019 for 0.75% total growth. Neighbors grew 2.5%.
Government added 36,600 jobs with your tax dollars, while professional services lost over 50,000 positions.
This is what @JBPritzker calls “success.”
The audacity of Alexi Giannoulias talking about safety is infuriating!
My daughter Katie was killed by someone who never should have been on Illinois roads in the first place but was given a valid Illinois drivers license.
Is that your idea of safety Secretary Giannoulias?
Katie was sacrificed to reckless policies and political ideology defended by J. B. Pritzker and Alexi Giannoulias.
“We are admitting a cohort that cannot read at a college level and are pretending otherwise.”
Another college professor adds to the chorus of concern about student capacity.
In @chronicle:
“Six weeks into the term, I assigned my rhetoric and writing students a 20-page article. It was the same length I had assigned for five years and the same length I had read without complaint as an undergraduate a decade ago. Not one student finished it.
When I asked why, a student answered honestly: It was too long, and she kept losing track of what the paper was about. This was not a remedial class: These were students who had cleared the admissions process and written essays good enough to get them here. Yet a routine academic reading assignment had defeated them.
Every generation of professors has complained that their students cannot read. The lament is usually overblown, but data have caught up to anecdote, and what I am seeing in my classroom is no longer a hunch. There is a measurable, generational collapse in sustained reading and writing, and the academy is responding to it with improvisation and exhaustion rather than the structural overhaul it requires.
In February 2024, Adam Kotsko, who teaches in the Shimer Great Books School at North Central College, wrote in Slate that students who once handled 30 pages of reading per class meeting now seem “intimidated by anything over 10 pages and seem to walk away from readings of as little as 20 pages with no real understanding.” Crucially, he added that this is “not a matter of laziness on the part of the students” but of underlying skills they were never given a chance to build.
The Chronicle of Higher Education’s 2024 investigation found the same pattern across institutions as different as the Stevens Institute of Technology and Wellesley College, where the average SAT exceeds 1400. Nicholaus Gutierrez, an assistant professor at Wellesley, told The Chronicle that the baseline for what students consider a reasonable amount of work has dropped so noticeably that he has cut his readings accordingly; a 750-word essay now strikes many students as long. At Stevens, the science and technology studies associate professor Theresa MacPhail described following the mantra of “meet your students where they are” for so long that she has begun to feel “like a cruise director organizing games of shuffleboard.”
Worse, the national data tell the same story in colder language. On the 2011 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) writing assessment, which is the most recent comprehensive writing benchmark, only 24 percent of 12th graders reached the Proficient level, and just 3 percent reached Advanced; another 21 percent scored below Basic. The reading side of the ledger is worse, and getting worse fast: The 2024 NAEP results released in September 2025 show 12th-grade reading scores at the lowest level recorded since the assessment began in 1992. Thirty-two percent of 12th graders now score below NAEP Basic in reading, meaning that, in the assessment’s own language, they likely “cannot draw general conclusions based on concepts presented explicitly in a text.” And yet more than half of these same seniors reported being accepted to a four-year college. That last sentence is the whole problem in one line: We are admitting a cohort that cannot read at a college level and are pretending otherwise.”
The traditional family is the greatest obstacle to the Left's cultural agenda, which is why they have spent decades trying to redefine, weaken, and replace it.
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we should honor and strengthen the nuclear family—a husband and wife committed to one another for life and raising children with faith and purpose. Strong families are the foundation of a strong nation. @DailySignal
🚨 The Biden Education Department spent $489,883,797 on race-based hiring grants.
President @realDonaldTrump’s administration launched the nation’s first Workforce Pell Grant program to fast-track students into electrician, carpenter, and other in-demand careers.
What a DIFFERENCE!
One funded woke ideology. The other is filling America’s workforce shortage.
🚨 JUST IN: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is being RIPPED for telling America, "we can't arrest our way to safety" during teen takeovers
WTF?!
"We ask police officers to do TOO MUCH."
Is he serious? He thinks the current Chicago crime wave is police being "TOO TOUGH" on thugs
What a disgrace for a mayor.
Wake up, Chicago!
This law is an assault on parental attacks and it also lays dangerous groundwork for poor health outcomes for young girls.
A 12 year old is not ready to decide if birth control is right for her body.

MEMO TO: Darren Bailey Campaign
There is verifiable proof that Pritzker and his Springfield posse are knowingly inciting voter fraud by the Illinois Department of Human Services sending out pre-filled voter application forms to ILLEGALS to include pre-addressed envelopes
Engage Stare Senator Steve McClure and Representative Adam Neimerg who brought this issue to the forefront and solicit their help in getting this out in front of the voters
You should be running non-stop ads exposing this voter fraud and encouraging Republicans to REGISTER AND VOTE!
A large Republican voter turnout will be the only way to overcome Pritzker’s voter fraud
No more Mr Nice Guy Bailey
Get some fire in your belly and start making some loud noise about Pritzker’s VOTER FRAUD IN ILLINOIS!
END OF MEMO
@DarrenBaileyIL
This is insane. @CCSDK12 is teaching White kids that they’re racists because of their skin color
This is not only illegal, but it’s also child abuse. @usedgov
Seth Logan, a Republican father from Westerly, RI, who EXPOSED radical books in schools that glorified suicide and self-harm to children, was just elected to the Town of Westerly School Committee.
AMAZING 👏
Don’t mess with concerned parents!! 💪
🚨 CHICAGO DEMOCRATS HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THE STREETS 🚨
@realBlagojevich: “Hundreds of them took over a neighborhood, had a carnival at 3:30 in the morning.”
“40 people were shot.”
Illinois Democrats just passed a bill to allow minor girls access to birth control WITHOUT PARENTAL NOTIFICATION OR APPROVAL. This further erodes parental rights in Illinois.
🚨MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD UNCOVERED IN ILLINOIS 🚨
Newly re-appointed nonbinary head of the Illinois Department of Human Services Dulce Quintero, who was born in Mexico, reportedly knowingly sent out pre-filled voter application forms to ILLEGAL ALIENS
Wtf is going on in JB Pritzker’s Illinois?!
Please look into this @DHSgov
Chicago-area mom, Lindsay Pinchuk, is calling for lawsuits against CTU, CPS, and the city of Chicago after kids were pulled from class and bused to the May Day protests. CPS parents hired attorney Bill Quinlan and sent a formal demand letter, but no lawsuits have been filed yet.
Lindsay is speaking out because she remembers what it was like to be taught how to think, not what to think. She shares her 8th-grade election project from 1992, which taught her how to research the issues, think critically, and form her own opinions.
Who else misses the days when we didn’t know who our teachers voted for and we were actually taught to think for ourselves?
Our kids today are being indoctrinated with a one-sided political agenda, and as she says, that is as anti-American as it gets.
Public schools should NEVER be allowed to secretly encourage children to adopt so-called “transgender” identities behind their parents’ backs.
36 Illinois school districts are under federal investigation for violating parents’ rights and pushing radical gender ideology in the classroom.
We are putting an end to the insanity.
🚨SHOCKING — Sixth-graders at Marshall Elementary in Eureka, Kansas, were banned from choosing Charlie Kirk, President Trump, or even Jesus Christ as role models in a simple “Find Your Voice” assignment. Now, a lawsuit has been filed.
