A package deal: #Roadmap & Advocacy tool. Young people are already active in politics. The challenge? Political systems too often limit the ability of young people to influence decisions in meaningful ways. This toolkit helps address that gap 👇

What can the young people of East Africa do towards regional integration? @jumuiya@NimdUganda@WeAreNIMD@_AfricanUnion@PrimusBahiigi@fesuganda
While in Ethiopia last week, the #DemocracyAcademyUg alumni from Uganda, Ethiopia, Somaliland and Kenya officially launched the East Africa Youth in Politics Roadmap (2026–2030).
Read it here: https://t.co/oPCIi01EIe
The roadmap is more than a plan; it’s a call to action. By building cross-country alliances and sharing best practices, young leaders have set the stage for more inclusive, effective leadership in our region.
We can't wait to see the roadmap in effect.

#Dialogue #SADU
Thriving democracies grow from open minds and open conversations.
When we engage in #dialogue, we build trust, address challenges, and move forward together.
#NIMD
The post-election period is an opportunity for young leaders to move beyond competition and build collective platforms to address youth concerns.
#Dialogue and engagement with decision-makers are key to lasting progress.
The session focused on how youth leaders can shift from campaigning to effective governance, prioritise public service over personal wealth, and deliver practical solutions to community needs. We are optimistic about the role that these youth leaders will play in the growth of our nation.

This past month, we headlined a different kind of leader. Eight changemakers across Africa who built coalitions, trained communities, and stood for democracy where it was needed most. Supported by the #PowerOfDialogue consortium. 👇

As part of our #WYDE programming, yesterday we engaged young leaders from the national youth council and other district levels on their experience as new leaders. At #NIMD Uganda, we believe in supporting young leaders in building a brighter, stronger democracy for all.
