Good morning! It is a dry and muggy start to the day before more scattered storms move in this afternoon/evening. Heavy downpours are likely which is why a flood watch is in effect for many of us north of I-64 & east of I-95. I have all the details on GMR 😃

A moderate risk (highlighted in red) has just been issued by the WPC for many areas that saw the heaviest rain last night including Dinwiddie & Petersburg. This means that numerous flash flooding events are possible & warnings should be taken very seriously.

Please stay weather alert this aft/eve as another round of scattered storms will pop up across the area bringing heavy downpours for many of us. Since the ground is already very saturated & it is so humid I am concerned about localized flash flooding.
