12:39pm ET:
- As expected, the Western flank won out and the Northern side diminished. That means this is a Tennessee and Southern states show. As for Kentucky, skies will clear out and mostly clear conditions are expected. Some flash flooding out in Western Kentucky (green polygon). - George
9:45am ET: Small Severe threat!
- An ongoing meso-convective system has fired a bit earlier than anticipated. Though this may be stronger to our South... the earlier fire time has limited this bad boys potential in Kentucky. Typically on these, the Western flank would be the area to watch. So we've highlighted the Hickman, KY portion, but no warnings are present.
- IF anything were to go warned for this, it would be isolated hail and wind potential.
- For now and for most of the Western half of Kentucky, this should remain as simple, but LOUD thunderstorms.
- This is NOT going to go into Eastern Kentucky, it will dive into TN, before then. - George
Heya WNK friends,
- My apologies for not being available for the small severe threat in far SW KY this evening. Today, my grandmother, who we care for, had an emergency and needed my attention as soon as I got back from Ohio. You know, I never miss a storm threat, no matter how big/small, so that pained me today. Thankfully, our teammate Scherri, was at least able to give you some information in the meantime. Thank you for understanding! - George
