When people ask what my favorite story has been to write, I always say Sk8 Liborius: fun interview, great cause & a cool, historic building. I feel for those guys 😔

When Doves Fly...
Loved this story’s many surprises, from young doves ("squabs," apparently) finding their way home from across the state, to the unfortunate encounter a flock had with the Olympic cauldron in 1988.
We should have a least one egret photo in print tomorrow so check it out. And many thanks to @mhamtil who found a much better crop for this snowy egret photo. https://t.co/D8b27UkZba
My grandma’s fav artist. Still remember getting home from school when the Queen of Rock n’ Roll was on Oprah, grandma sat us down and told us to listen. Haven’t stopped listening since. RIP Queen.
My favorite Tina Turner memory remains how my mother on more than one occasion pulled the car to the curb when "Private Dancer" was on the radio. When Tina sang "I wanna...make a million dollars," mom thought that vocal growl was an ambulance behind her. https://t.co/k9PZUJh8BB
Commissioner Manfred issued the following statement today regarding the passing of longtime St. Louis Post-Dispatch baseball writer Rick Hummel, who was 77:
My colleague. My mentor. My dearest friend.
And he deserves my absolute best to capture the incredible life of the beloved Hall of Fame baseball writer who defined professionalism and the profession.
Rick Hummel (1946-2023)
The Commish, RIP.
