Appreciate everyone's support over the years but it's time to move on from the idea that having that stuff up here means anything or matters. Sure, this whole site has probably been fed to an AI already but whatever. Fuck this place.
Even though BS is in the process of mutating into Twitter, going to plug again that I'm posting here now. If you're looking for art/reviews, you won't see them anymore on my Twitter page.
@Marlutte1 Don't know how familiar you are with his relationship to his father but it explains a lot. It also gives context to why he uses sockpuppets to convince himself he's a good dad, a window into the misery being disowned has created for him, and I take fiendish glee in that.
Just poking my head back in here to say I think it's cool and very funny how the guy who owns the site is having Kuuenbu level meltdowns almost daily, apparently.
@R3DDV5 I kinda want to purge my art but at the same time, can't bring myself to nuke the pieces I did numbers with. Pretty sure it's all been scraped anyway, I don't trust Twitter to have not previously done it and only now update their TOS verbiage.
@tzuyus_anxiety I think that's an incredibly pathetic mindset to have and shows a total detachment from their craft. Worse, if they're misrepresenting what they made as being hand drawn then they lack integrity.
Tweeting this again and giving notice that I don't think I'll be posting art to Twitter anymore.
I'll be leaving art up here that's already been posted, I'm sure the site has been broadly scraped for ages.
@tzuyus_anxiety Only unethical if they misrepresented how it was made and accepted money for it, or used other people's work to train the model. Otherwise, it's theirs and that's ultimately their choice, though sad to see anyone trade their craft for cold production.
@tzuyus_anxiety Artists *should* use it, but the person you quoted I think has a different level of investment in this site and strikes me as the sort to think they have the one know-it-all solution. No offense to you. Just don't care for their tone and I think they're somewhat disconnected.
@tzuyus_anxiety Glaze is a program that essentially poisons your art so AI's can't add it to their model, but doing so can cause visible artifacting. One particular image I did, the program did not agree with the background color and added these trenched patterns all over it at the default level
@tzuyus_anxiety Also, the main motivation for me here is less whatever Twitter is opting people into, that's why I'm not bothering to remove anything. It's more that Blue Sky isn't driven by the same psychotic algorithm this place uses and, so far, it's been easier to get my stuff seen.
@tzuyus_anxiety The problem with Glaze is that it can cause artificating in your images depending on color usage and complexity which might require turning the process down to less reliable levels. A recent picture I did ended up looking like a capcha image on medium.
