@KOMUMatt There are two different types of scanners they go through now. Old ones have to have the laptop out of the bag, new ones the laptops stay in!
In my experience most airports have the newer ones!
@jontificate IMO, Tim Lester has brought noticeable design and play calling change. For better or worse (mostly better). But Iowa needs a QB that can take advantage of that, because the opportunity is there. Cade so far, can’t do that.
I can’t stress enough how hard local market meteorologists work during high end severe events. Most local markets don’t have resources to have chasers and a whole network. It’s usually 2 people doing nearly everything. I won’t take a hint of slander toward local meteorologists.
For severe weather, a majority of news media is less of a source of life-saving real-time information and more of a place to just watch damage footage the next day. If you want real-time information from the front lines of severe weather, follow storm chasers on social media
Severe thunderstorms ripped through southeastern Texas and Louisiana Thursday, including the Houston area, and left over a million people without power.
@JimCantore recaps yesterday's storms:
THE DEW POINT IS THE BEST REPRESENTATION OF HOW IT FEELS OUTSIDE BECAUSE IT IS AN ABSOLUTE MEASURE OF THE AMOUNT OF MOISTURE IN THE ATMOSPHERE WHILE THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS CALCULATED RELATIVE TO THE TEMPERATURE AND IS OFTEN WILDLY MISLEADING
