What a day on Fliff winning $1.3k on a couple parlays! Thanks to @DGFantasy for finding the awesome value picks!! Can't wait for NFL tomorrow!

@billassault@ByMattWeyrich@Orioles Naylor didn't obstruct, he was standing outside of the runner's lane in fair territory. Holliday also stepped aside which didn't interfere with the pitcher fielding the ball or throwing to Naylor. By the time Naylor attempted a tag, Holliday was close to 1B and he won the race.
@ByMattWeyrich@Orioles There was no basepath until Naylor made a tag attempt. Holliday touched the bag so no, he didn't run outside of it (by 3+ feet). He wasn't tagged and won the race to the bag.
@Oaknarrow@AllBannerSports It was the same kind of thing with the Ty France fair/foul controversy a month ago, the MLB spokesperson remained anonymous.
@tangotiger Exactly, something like this which he ended up way outside of.
The umps didn't even deny this, they just said it was ok because he was "avoiding potential interference," not evading the tag of the guy running right at him with the ball 🤣
Such a terrible call.
@ShipMyMoneyDFS The umps didn't even deny he was out of the basepath! They, for whatever reason, said they thought he was getting out of the way to avoid interference, which is the one exception to the rule. It couldn't have been to dodge the tag of the guy running right at him with the ball...
@Jackoujo@mike_daddino "A runner’s base path is established when the tag attempt occurs and is a straight line from the runner to the base he is attempting to reach safely"
He veered off more than 3 feet from this base path, established at the time of the tag attempt. He should have been called out.
@tomjedrz@JakeDRill There's no world where Henderson wouldn't tag the lead runner and would throw to 1B... Clement was clearly trying to avoid the tag, and was clearly more than 3 feet out of the base path as determined at the time of the tag attempt
@tomjedrz@JakeDRill Rewatch the clip and it's clear that after Henderson moved at Clement, he deviated more than 3 feet away from the base path. Idk whu the ump was saying Clement was avoiding interference on a throw... If an infielder will get one out there, he would always get the lead runner.
These should really be like $20 per seat. No name teams, 6pm weeknight game time, awful nosebleed location... FIFA is out of their goddamn corrupt minds
I played soccer growing up, I think it's a great sport for kids to play. Develop stamina, coordination, competitive skills.
However, FIFA is absolute garbage. $250 each to get 2 of the worse tickets to watch .. Iran vs NZ? Two completely obscure countries? No thanks!!! 🤣🤣
@weaver_cards This is the right call. If an infielder can catch it with ordinary effort (this SS was camped under it and decided to bail last second), then the umpire should declare it an infield fly. SS will ordinarily always go back on lazy, shallow pop ups like this.
