Just so you know, Nigeria new tax law now links your crypto activity to real identities via TIN and NIN
What it means in plain terms:
• Crypto users are now traceable for tax purposes
• Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASPs) must collect TIN/NIN, names, and addresses
• Monthly transaction reports go to tax authorities
• Large or suspicious trades can get flagged
ETHGAS TASK
@ETHGasOfficial raised $12M to build an infrastructure layer for Ethereum, with a fresh approach to how gas fees & blockspace are handled
The foundation has now announced $GWEI as the protocol’s native & governance token
Below is a simple procedure to get started
Projects that barely crossed my timeline after TGE:
Monad
Wayfinder
Nillion
Boundless
Succinct
Doublezero
Zksync
Scroll
Mitosis
Magic Newton
Orbiter Finance
Union
Initia
Caldera
Camp Network
Somnia
Xion
Soon
Falcon Finance
Theoriq
Satlayer
Skate
Sophon
Vultisig
Allora
Play AI
Bless Network
Humanity Protocol
Hana
Portal to Bitcoin
Turtle Club
Anoma
Everlyn AI
Most of these projects had their token generation event within the last year and then immediately vanished from the timeline shortly after.
We need more teams that treat TGE as the first day of building, not an exit event.
X pulled the plug on Infofi
APIs got revoked.
Yaps shut down.
And just like that, the tl declared InfoFi dead.
I don`t think this reaction is the right one.
Kaito being down does not mean information stopped having value. It just means one distribution layer broke. That’s it. Information did not disappear overnight.
People did not stop paying for insight, timing, or clarity. What just stopped working is the low-effort loop where noise gets rewarded just for existing.
Information has always paid in crypto, not because of points or leaderboards, but because value matters.
Real information still pays in the same ways it always has on-chain research that helps people find things early.
Narratives spotted before they hit the timeline. Work that saves people time and actually changes how they position. Threads that make someone rethink a trade or a thesis.
That kind of work still prints. It always has.
What died was the AI-slop version of InfoFi. The copy-paste summaries. The engagement farming.
The idea that volume equals value. Losing X access did not kill information, it filtered out people who were never delivering much in the first place.
If you look around, people are still getting paid for information every day. Not through Yaps, but through work that’s harder to fake. Bounties. Research gigs. Creator grants. Direct project deals.
Teams still need analysts, writers, and people who can explain things clearly. They just care less about your impressions and more about whether you actually help.
Some are monetizing through their own tools or products. Dashboards. Reports. Newsletters. Small private groups.
Others are spreading across platforms, building audiences where incentives are not tied to a single API switch.
What I see is, different paths, same idea: insight is valuable when it’s real.
The “yap for rewards” era getting nuked is not really a tragedy. It was never sustainable.
Spam moved because it was easy to game and now that the game is gone, skill matters again.
Information is not dead. Attention is not dead.
What’s dead is pretending those things come for free.
If you treat information like a craft, this reset helps you.
If you treated it like a farm, it doesn’t.
This the difference people are confusing right now.
Big congratulations @Crypto4bailout
This indeed a solid and smart move towards diversifying outside the grid of crypto.
Seeing you build on-chain and off-chain is a motivating. Keep Leading Champ.
It’s also a great pleasure meeting @Vindicatedchidi and @connectwithtola (again)
🚨⚠️
Something strange happened with the @union_build airdrop claim contract:
A few days ago, there were about 134 million $U tokens in the smart contract. Suddenly, over 83 million tokens were claimed in less than 48 hours, almost at the same time. You can verify this by checking the transactions on Etherscan.
Now, only 51 million $U tokens remain in the smart contract, and I don't think they're done yet.
This can't be a coincidence. Something's off. Either this is a large-scale Sybil attack by a bad actor, possibly a team member who farmed the project, or hundreds of individuals from around the world coincidentally decided to claim at the same time, all qualifying for the largest allocations. LOL.
I'm still monitoring the transactions. This is extremely strange.
I've invited other on-chain analysts to help investigate. I suspect some dark crime is unfolding on-chain.
