@DavidBrin Knew your father for a few years as a close friend when I was at UCSD. He introduced me as a host worker at San Diego Comic Con. He critiqued my first story and wrote one using all three parts of my name as a character. Returned that acknowledgment 40 years later.

@elonmusk Should have choice: truth, verifiable fact. It may be true that your opinion is you hate something, but it must be marked as opinion. And those hurt by it should get compensation. Charge proportionately for distributing lies and give credit for verifiable truth.

@Ben_Aaronovitch I can only speak about analysts. Generally nice, friendly folks yet they think only their work really matters. The job also requires a 'keep to yourself awareness' that shuts down deep cross-job interactions. Opposite of in-your-face detectives.

@Ben_Aaronovitch Actual time to finish is increasing in the US and a sizable % of students take 4 years to complete a 4 year BA/BS degree. Statistically, 5.2 years of classes over 6 years. This is because cost requires many to work and others take longer to finish all required courses.
