Hit the North was late, small but perfectly formed, just like our video of the day by Red Cap Films.
In the midst of all this darkness it was the perfect reminder that right now we need art more than ever.
If you haven't been in Belfast city centre for a bit, look out for progress on our #BelfastEntries project. This gem from @thisisfriz is at Castle Arcade. Under the Cherry Blossoms is a nod to the entry's history as the site of a Norman castle with cherry orchards & woodlands. 🌸
Forest Art Trail - Sliabh Beagh Arts.
Had the best day painting these forest creatures in Fermanagh yesterday with @kvlr1 - thanks to Donna for organising @ Lisnaske Co Fermanagh https://t.co/YLhGVLuTFH
Any walks around Belfast you’ll likely catch some of Nuala’s striking street art. Mural done with buildings permission, in support of the Homeless Period. Painted over by two men. Public feminist art is routinely defaced and censored here, it’s pathetic
Just spotted this story on Fb from @Wee_Nuls & am outraged that, despite having permission to paint this mural, someone decided to paint over it who was clearly offended by public acknowledgement of women’s menstrual cycles & yet we still have 100s of murals glorifying terrorism!
So grateful to receive support from @ArtsCouncilNI Resilience Fund! Amazing to see local creative friends receiving funding too - a much needed bit of good news in the middle of all of this. #acni
