I believe Nigel Farage is calling a snap by election because he has an embargoed copy of the standards report that will be made public next week ( it must be bad )
Farage knows the report will cause the Standards Committee to suspend him from the House for more than 10 days triggering a recall petition in the Autumn., where 10% of his electorate signing up for a recall will trigger a by election in his seat.
He wants a by election now on his terms to reduce the appetite in Clacton to sign his recall petition which will come from the standards investigation into his £5m gift from Harborne
However the main political parties won’t play his game and have declined to stand candidates as they will wait for the second by election in the Autumn. Farage’s plan could well back fire on him- He will be standing against Bin-Face and the Monster Raving Looney Party
There will be another by election in Clacton before Christmas.
I also believe there will be further damaging disclosures this Summer regarding Farage and Reform involved in ‘financial irregularities’.
The question is not only can Reform survive without Farage ? But also can Reform survive with Farage?

Is very very big political news about to break. Nigel Farage is making a statement at 2pm about “his future in political life”. That’s a very odd use of words and has caused the rumour mill to go into over drive. This video outlines the possible options and the potential repercussions for both the Reform party and much more widely, and importantly, the country.
