@questionableway I think it walks a really impressive tight rope where the play is corny and silly but still entertaining enough, certainly funny enough, to keep you engaged while watching.
@madsssagascar The movie doesn’t explicitly tell you this. The play does, the play is portraying him that way. We don’t actually know if Digger did talk about “controlling the narrative” because we only get the unreliable perspective of the play.
@BODY_W0_WHORGAN@volvicstorm98 Haha I came to the replies to comment this exact one. Been renovated recently and doesn't look too bad now, not that the paint was ever the issue.
@BillTheKid1603 People aren't truth seeking, low hanging fruit is great because you get to reaffirm what already feels good to you and make yourself feel intelligent in the process.
@youngpoultry@BillTheKid1603 Some people want things that have dire consequences for others. Walt in a sense "self actualizes" but it's horrific for the people in his orbit.
@feraljokes The set up isn't inherently sincere, quite often it's a sincere opinion heightened and then the rest of the joke helps the audience understand the view point better. "Women dress like whores" is objectively a better setup than "women don't wear much in the gym".
@BOLT__CATCHER I don’t think this is particularly funny but it actually has the structure of a joke. He sets it up with what people say about speech then gives you the hidden meaning with a sarcastic punchline.
