I ran into a friend last night that I hadn’t seen in a while. (She’s a former Republican but TFG changed that! Years ago she was the Mayor in Hot Springs, Arkansas, irrelevant to my story here, just an interesting tidbit.) We were talking about everything going on in our country (primarily women’s rights) and I mentioned I spent most of my time on Twitter, and making phone calls, writing emails, etc. I made some silly comment about not knowing why I spend all my free time doing these things. She put her hands on my shoulders, looked me in the eyes, and said, “You do it because you have a daughter and you have granddaughters.” She’s right. Remember when President Biden was sworn in, and that wave of relief that washed over you? Yes…I remember that feeling as well. It didn’t mean “Wheeeww! It’s over” however. What it really meant was “It’s only just begun.” We are seeing that, now, more than ever.

The GOP is actively engaged in an aggressive and unrelenting attempt to destroy democracy. To DESTROY DEMOCRACY. They will stop at nothing. They can only BE stopped.

Repeat that to yourself each day until it plays by itself on an endless loop.

There will be no path to victory, for us, with a passive, fearful and hesitant attitude. That mindset will lead only to defeat. Action comes from the INSIDE. Get your head right. Your heart right. You gut right.
