#thedrama review: 4.5/5. It's a plot that gets you thinking and reflecting, and is a great critique of white feminism, racism and gender along with discussing the important topic of g*n violence in America. Everyone was PHENOMENAL
Finally got around to watching #thehousemaid and it was surprisingly good! Sydney Sweeney was kinda meh, she didn't seem to be trying to bring anything to the character. Amanda Seyfriend was amazing! She embodied her character extremely well and she honestly carried the movie
No-one should be filmed without their consent. Meta glasses are a huge breach of privacy for everyone and it will allow creeps and p*do's to film people. Meta glasses and what they can be used for are utterly terrifying, please get rid of them
"There's no way you can write a ten page paper without chatGPT"
WE COULD LITERALLY DO EVERYTHING THAT EVER HAPPENED IN HUMAN HISTORY WITHOUT CHATGPT WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.
Agreed. Using AI for art is lazy, you are not an artist if you use AI for it. Use your brain, be creative, stop relying solely on AI you know? Real artists have survived for years without generative AI, you can not use it to generate "art" for 5 seconds, please
@LyxPar With the last bit of your comment, idk, I believe that while it could be argued that the use of AI as a tool for some things is okay, I have found it through my own experience and others to be quite unreliable, and if a method has been to found to be unreliable, why use it?
We grew up being told to think critically, do our own research, don't use Wikipedia as a source and don't trust everything on the Internet - and now people are like "Just use AI", and then there's the whole relying on ChatGPT??? AI is dumbing us down
As someone who spent the better part of a decade getting a MA and PhD, seeing so many people say they use gen AI for 'research' makes me want to eat my bookshelf.
THAT IS NOT RESEARCH AND YOU WOULD FAIL MY CLASS.
@LyxPar If you are careful with how you are using AI and not relying on it for everything, then yeah maybe it could be used. I was more complaining about people who use it for absolutely everything and no longer research anything themselves, they trust AI completely, which is weird
@MovieTalkNOW1 AI get more than just the sources wrong, there are so many studies about how it is dumbing us down as a society, people are way too reliant on it. AI's hold on people is scary, so I vote for caution when using it, preferably not, humans have managed to research without it before
@Anton51Art@BookSpotlight Right? You can't trust anything it says, like you have to rewrite what it says, still find your own sources and references, it's ridiculous
@tozierisms Ikr? The poor guy just wants his friend and girlfriend back. What Jean did while in MJ on that rooftop was so evil, she was toying with him when he was so broken and had been so relieved to be holding MJ again
Putting aside the myriad issues of producing gen AI, that it's shown how many folks are incurious, lazy and utterly willing to sacrifice their ingenuity and creativity because they no longer seek to think for themselves is depressing.
Truly, want more for yourself. Want better.
