Active from ‘95-‘05, he played for 8 teams including a total of 19 games in pinstripes for the NYY. This LHP debuted for CIN and last appeared for WSH before continuing his career in NPB & then KBO. Writing articles for Sport Illustrated, Associated Press, SB Nation, Baseball Prospectus, ESPN & MLB, this man is quoted saying "I have never seen Roger or Andy take any illegal performance-enhancing drugs. I have never talked to either of them about PEDs, nor do I have any firsthand knowledge of them taking any PEDs."

His ops+ of 152 is tied for 34th all time which is ahead of a ton of HoF players, a honor he did not receive.

This catcher was a Yankee for 5/11 major league seasons. Taking the catcher position and losing it a few years later to a more offensive catcher, he ranked 24th in MVP votes, got his first and only AS and Silver Slugger award, & came 3rd in RoY in the same season! Known to have emergency landed a plane he was piloting onto interstate 15 saying, "I went south, hovered over some cars, and waited until they cleared".
