Through 8 projects, the state aims to develop 1,848.75 hectares of direct intervention area and 9,357 hectares of project impact area, with a proposed target of 50,200 MT of fish production.

Cabinet has approved the appointment of PwC as the Transaction Advisor for the PPP rollout across 16 brownfield medical colleges and hospitals (including a dental college).

Oldest accurately dated Banyan found in Munger, Bihar

A banyan tree in Munger, Bihar, estimated to be around 700 years old, has been identified as the oldest accurately dated banyan tree, Ficus benghalensis, using radiocarbon dating, a method that relies exclusively on scientific evidence rather than historical records or local lore

Banyan trees, with their intricate root and branch networks, provide habitats for a variety of wildlife, including birds and insects. They have also played a significant role in Indian social and cultural life for centuries

Munger has the potential to become a top destination by integrating its spiritual legacy with the international renown of the Bihar School of Yoga... By developing its riverfront ghats, the unique "Uttar Vahini" stretch of the Gangaji, temples, natural hot springs and the military/architectural legacy of Mir Kasim, the town can establish itself as a premier hub for cultural and wellness tourism.

PS: One of the entrance points to the town is quite narrow.
