Today is a time to remember what makes America great.
America is great because of its people.
American greatness endures because generation after generation of ordinary people have sacrificed their lives in dedication to the preservation of the life and liberty of the American people.
These sacrifices were made by people whose spirit carries on in those they defended.
The spirit that celebrates peace.
The spirit that opposes tyranny and oppression.
The spirit that inspires greatness
That still exists today.
And that spirit will continue to exist in the future as long as we remember it. As long as we celebrate it.
We are fortunate to have inherited the greatest nation in human history.
Our responsibility today is to celebrate those that have proven themselves worthy of it through their sacrifice.

The Weld County Republican Party has received and accepted the resignation of Hunter Rivera as County Chair, effective immediately.
Per the bylaws of the Weld County Republican Party, 1st Vice Chair Adrienne Sandoval shall exercise the duties and functions of Chairman until a successor is duly elected and qualified at a future meeting following the procedures and timeline specified in our bylaws.
Statement from Weld County Elected Republican Representatives
We are aware of the arrest of Weld County Republican Party Chair Hunter Rivera by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office on charges related to an operation targeting child predators.
These charges are sickening, horrifying, and beyond reprehensible. Anyone who preys on children deserves no defense, no excuses, and no place anywhere near public life or our party.
The seriousness of these charges are utterly incompatible with continued service as Chair of the Weld County Republican Party.
We are calling for the immediate revocation of his position as Weld County Republican Party Chair.
There is no room in our party for conduct of this nature or charges of this gravity. The legal process must now move forward, the facts must be fully established, and justice must be served.
We stand unequivocally with children, families, and every law enforcement officer working to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse.
We are grateful to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, its investigators, and all law enforcement personnel involved in this operation for their work to protect children and pursue justice.
Our prayers are for justice to be served, for victims to be protected and supported, and for all families affected by this matter.
Statement from the Weld County Republican Party
The Weld County Republican Party is aware of the arrest of County Chair, Hunter Rivera, by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
Following the news of his arrest the party officers have called for Hunter's resignation immediately. We will follow our bylaws and remove him as soon as bylaws allow.
These allegations are deeply serious and disturbing. We recognize the gravity of the charges and the importance of allowing the legal process to proceed without interference.
Our prayers are for the truth to be revealed, for justice to be served, and for all those involved, including any potential victims, law enforcement, the courts, the accused, and their families.
The Weld County Republican Party remains committed to the rule of law, the protection of children, and the pursuit of justice.
Congratulations to Carlos Barron, the presumptive Republican nominee for House District 48!
Carlos was elected by acclamation at the House District 48 Assembly this evening in Hudson, demonstrating the strong support he has earned from delegates across the district.
As a current State Representative, small business owner, and husband and father, Carlos has been a strong voice for hardworking Colorado families. Serving as House Minority Whip, he has played a key leadership role in standing up for conservative values at the State Capitol and fighting to get government out of the way so families and businesses can thrive.
Now it’s time to unite, build momentum, and win in November. Let’s get behind Carlos and keep HD48 in conservative hands.

Congratulations to Lori Garcia Sander, the presumptive Republican nominee for House District 65!
Lori was selected by acclamation at the House District 65 Assembly this evening in Windsor, a clear reflection of the strong support she has earned across Weld and Larimer counties.
As a current State Representative and former public-school teacher and principal, Lori brings over 25 years of real-world experience in education to the legislature. She has been a strong advocate for students, parents, and teachers, while fighting for school choice and local control. Lori has also been a consistent voice for safer communities, lower taxes, and policies that support Colorado’s agriculture and energy industries.
Now it’s time to unite, build momentum, and win in November. Let’s get behind Lori and keep HD65 in conservative hands.

Congratulations to Scott Slaugh, the presumptive Republican nominee for House District 64!
Scott earned an overwhelming 85% of the vote at the House District 64 Assembly this evening in Berthoud, making him the only Republican to qualify for the ballot. A fifth-generation Coloradan and fourth-generation veteran, Scott has spent over two decades serving as a U.S. Army Reserve Officer and building homes for Northern Colorado families. This decisive result reflects the strong confidence delegates have in his leadership, character, and vision for HD64.
Now it’s time to unite, build momentum, and win in November. Let’s get behind Scott and keep this seat red!

Stay tuned as we continue to announce our presumptive Republican nominees in the days ahead.
This Saturday is one of the most important days for our party this year.
On Saturday, March 7 at 9:00 AM, Republicans across Weld County will gather for Precinct Caucus, the first step in nominating Republican candidates for office.
From Assessor to County Commissioner, from State Senator to Governor, the candidates who will carry the Republican banner in 2026 begin their journey at caucus.
But that process only works if Republicans show up.
At caucus, you will meet with your neighbors from your precinct and elect delegates who will attend the next levels of our party’s assembly process. Those delegates will go on to vote at District and County Assemblies to help determine which candidates appear on the June Republican Primary ballot.
In short, delegates help decide who becomes the Republican nominees for office.
Weld County has been allocated 196 delegates to the State Assembly, giving our county a strong voice in the nomination process. But that voice only matters if we have Republicans willing to step up and serve.
If you care about the future of Weld County, Colorado, and our party, we strongly encourage you to attend caucus and consider serving as a delegate.
To find your caucus location and confirm your district, please visit:

You can also find additional caucus and candidate information on our website:

Please take a moment to confirm your location and make plans to attend.
Caucus is where grassroots Republicans shape the future of our party.
We need strong candidates.
We need strong delegates.
And we need Republicans willing to show up.
We hope to see you Saturday.
🚨🇺🇸 CAUCUS IS APPROACHING IN MARCH 🇺🇸🚨 THIS IS WHERE CITIZENSHIP COUNTS
Caucus is where politics gets real and hands-on.
You don’t need a title or a donor list. Just show up, meet fellow Republicans, and help choose our leadership from the ground up.
⏰ The commitment begins with a few hours on a Saturday morning. Those who choose to step forward may run to serve as delegates the following Saturday, carrying the voice of their fellow citizens forward. And if they continue to be chosen by fellow citizens, the process can carry all the way to state assembly.
Every step matters.
✔️ Showing up on the first day is good citizenship. ✔️ Choosing to continue is service. ✔️ Everyone who participates earns the respect of their fellow citizens.
🇺🇸 Colorado still gives citizens a real voice. Caucus is how you claim it.
