I'd like to introduce Nigerians to a few individuals who have been advocating for GMOs strongly in Nigeria.

It's important we know our 'HEROES' in this country. Many times, we lambast the President or other popular politicians like state governors, or ministers, but we hardly bring out the legs of civil servants who outperform politicians in 'amazing works'.

Here's a roll call:
1. Dr. Rose Gidado @roxydado is the link between Bill Gates Foundation, OFAB and the major international agencies funding GMO adoption in Nigeria. She is a Federal Government Staff, but also is the Country Director of OFAB, a Pro GMO continent-wide project to promote GMOs across the continent.
She's the Director in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology at the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency. This agency sits on the board of the Regulators of GMO in Nigeria. How does this work?

2. Rufus Ebegba @RufusEbegba He was the pioneer DG of the Nigerian Biosafety Management Agency; the regulators of GMO in Nigeria. He approved the first GMO in Nigeria on Sunday, May 1st, 2016 (weekend and workers day). He has featured in numerous TV and Radio interviews advocating for GMOs (I encountered him once), and he was recently spotted happily learning about GMO Mosquitoes.

3. Celestine Aguoru @aguoruphd He's a strong advocate. I was told he was a strong advocate against GMOs, but only God can explain what happened 🙃. Haven't encountered him much, but at the 7th Biosafety Conference by the NBMA but looked sponsored by OFAB, he advertised his trade soooo passionately that he called for the arrest of those of us opposing GMOs.

4. Today, I will be introducing everyone to Dr. Yemisi Asgbara, @asagbrayemisi the current pretty DG of the NBMA. I have written to her once on why we need to ban BT Cotton, and I'm waiting for feedback before I begin fully with @biosafetynig and esteemed DG.
She holds the key to kicking GMOs out of Nigeria officially, but we will be looking into why she isn't shortly.

My favorite on this list is Rose Gidado. She's the Pinar.

5. Kabir Ibrahim: He's the President of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, and also the Nigerian Agric Business Group; an organization that Bill Gates has credited 1.4m usd to their akant. He's the author of the famous quote:
