When will the world and at least all health care professionals and organisations start to speak up. Clear breaking of international laws. No doubt left.
BREAKING: Shifa Hospital's medical leaders hold an improvised press conference outside the ruins of the totally destroyed tertiary, university hospital, Gaza's most important. Israel is fully responsible for this war crime. We shall never forget! Dr. Mads
We are urgently working to evacuate siblings Rafif, 13 and Rafiq, 15 from Shifa Hospital where they are trapped. They have severe injuries from an Israeli military airstrike, which also killed their mother and ten other family members, and had to have their limbs amputated. (1/4)
Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah is a Palestinian-British surgeon who was working in Gaza when Israel began its assault on the Strip in October. In this interview with Mondoweiss, Dr. Abu-Sittah describes what he witnessed and what we are witnessing today as a "mathematical genocide."
1/ I’m an Israeli academic. My community is too silent about the ongoing war in Gaza. Here is how I see things based on reading hundreds of articles and watching thousands of videos and images about the war. This tweet chain contains my conclusions as a sort of executive summary.
Commission will proceed to paying 50 million EUR to UNRWA and increase emergency support to the Palestinians by 68 million EUR in 2024

BREAKING NEWS
Today I have decided to resign from my political party, the @LibDems, where I serve on the Federal Board.
Certain people in the party have taken great offence at the vehemence and ferocity of my stance in the fight to end the genocide in Palestine and have conflated my anti-Zionist position with antisemitism, which is clearly absurd. (see my pinned post)
That does not wash anymore. People are no longer intimidated and I will not be silenced.
Being harassed for supporting justice for the long- suffering people of Palestine and advocating for peace in Ukraine is something I will wear as a badge of honour.
You would think those people in my party would use their energy on trying to stop the massacres of children, women and innocent men in Palestine.
I haven't taken this decision lightly. I am a current Federal Board member, representative to Liberal International and have run for Parliament and London Assembly.
I was proud that the LibDems called for a ceasefire, unlike Labour and the Conservatives.
I fought apartheid in South African until it was defeated. I put everything I had in that struggle. That was way before I joined any political party.
I have been fighting for the freedom and dignity of the Palestinians for decades now and have redoubled my efforts since October 7th.
What decent people should be angry about and offended by -- especially after the ICJ ruling -- is the slaughter taking place right now of innocent civilians, mostly women and children, and the brutal occupation and massacres that Palestinians have endured for decades.
Israel has a duty under international law to protect and look after the welfare of the people it occupies, not to oppress, dehumanise, kill, starve and terrorise them as they have been doing for decades.
Occupied people everywhere have a right to self defense under international law and while they should seek peaceful means to end conflicts, when that fails they cannot be expected to lie down and die.
If politicians in the West had done their job and held the extremist government of Netanyahu to account in its treatment of Palestinians over many decades, October 7th might not have happened.
Same goes for Ukraine. A peaceful solution was very possible as some of us pointed out before the invasion. Ordinary Ukranians, including some of my friends, would not have had to undergo so much needless pain and sorrow.

How can you stay silent. How can you ignore the most document massacre of our day. 136 children killed per day! Wake up. Get your noses out of your freshly ground coffee and backsides out of your warm duvet beds! Educate yourself. https://t.co/LduQqOJS8h
Are you neutral? Watch this analogy. Which way do you want the paint bottle to go!? A person probably half the age of those who shrug their shoulders and say “it doesn’t affect me” gets it better than you! https://t.co/TdQwt22zRY
