Nicolas Jackson needs to sort his PR out, the amount of hate is pretty baffling… feels like Harry Maguire 2.0

Anyone making judgements from ‘Own Goals and Gaffs’ style social media clips need to look a lot deeper.

Some people forget that Jackson was only 21 years old when he played under Pochettino. To put that in perspective, that’s the same age as Will Lankshear, and Jackson still scored 17 goals in that season, his debut PL season! Yet people still hang on to the mistakes the kid made in that season, not all the good he done.

He’s now still only 24, and he’s been constantly improving. This season he played second fiddle to the best striker in the world, with no guarantee of games, and a mixture of occasional starts and the odd substitute appearance, and he still average a goal or assist every 90.3 minutes. 🔥

He seems to have this image of a striker who can’t hit a barn door amongst Spurs fans, Richarlison esq. But when you look at his numbers, his shots on target are better than nearly everyone except Kane.

Kane: 56%
Jackson: 55%
Haaland: 47%
Richarlison: 43%
Guirassy: 41%

He is the youngest (24) out of that pack above by quite some way. Kane is 8 years older. And I’m certainly not saying he’s Kane in terms of his all-round play, but as a 9 he is definitely no chump.
