Today, we experienced Gujarati hospitality at its best.
Our first meeting was with our fiber partner. A three-generation business - grandfather, son, and grandson. What stood out wasn’t just the scale of their work, but the humility. The grandfather himself welcomed us near the lift. Despite being in the industry for 50+ years, there was zero ego and genuine appreciation for young startups like ours.
The second experience was at Iskcon Thal. Throughout the meal, multiple managers stopped by our table just to check if everything was comfortable. They genuinely made us feel at home.
Loved every bit of it.
On my way to Ahmedabad for a couple of manufacturer meetings.
Bangalore airport today brought back a memory.
Around this time last year, I had one of those proper filmy moments right here at this airport.
An investor had discovered Wellbi through Instagram and loved our products.
We spoke for around 45 minutes over coffee.
Then he took out a cheque book, wrote a cheque right there on the table and handed it over.
I still remember the swag and conviction with which he did it.
If you know any manufacturers in the textile ecosystem in Ahmedabad, would love to connect.
@supreetkashyap Hey supreeth...am a garments guy with 30 yrs in the field... bought your inner wear....top class bossu 👌.... jockey or nothing alla eega.... jockey is nothing 😂... keep up the quality and god bless with all success 👍
Tried Wellbi's bamboo vests. I wish I had the physique to post pictures in it (🤣) but honestly, it's comfortable af. Can't speak about durability yet, but I've ordered 8 of them to replace my entire Jockey wardrobe.
Not sponsored, paid for all of them myself.
If you have felt a different level of comfort with Uniqlo’s Airism vest, wait till you try Wellbi’s vests.
An Indian brand obsessed with comfort. And at less than half the price.
