Nadine Ghadie was part of a group of Finance Canada officials that were assigned to monitor what is known as "Budget Lockup." This is a critical aspect of the formal process by which the Federal Budget is released to Members of Parliament and other stakeholders who are a part of the lockup.

Nadine and her colleagues Jessica and Talia from Finance Canada were assigned to the Green Party. Nadine was responsible for delivering oficial copies of the budget to the room and watching over participants to make sure nobody left with a copy, or had access to their phone while they were looking at the budget, until the lockup embargo was lifted (after the Minister of Finance tabled the document publicly).

This is just another step in the amazing journey of Nadine's career in the federal public service, and LiveWorkPlay is beyond thrilled to see the ongoing progress. One of our core principles at LiveWorkPlay is to support Authentic Valued Roles for people with intellectual disabilities and autistic persons, in all aspects of life. With Finance Canada and Nadine Ghadie, there is zero doubt that her work is authentic, valued, and evolving!
