A cosy Victorian farmhouse in Carmarthenshire. Whitewashed external walls are typical of rural Wales. Whitewash is made from crushed and heated limestone. It was one of the cheapest ways to paint a cottage - historically available to the poorest of cottage dwellers.

A quick freshen up outside. Often you can do this rather than wash them. If you do need to wash your blanket - you can hand or machine wash in cold water with a gentle detergent and short gentle spin - wool hates heat and too much churning!
