A small software studio building niche, useful tools. Currently: @grantsonar (AI-native grant prospecting) + @standardpoorly (grading market signals & punditry)
I activated a Codex / OpenAI usage reset yesterday yesterday morning on the $200 plan, had 2-3 sessions resume some work and by 4pm was down to 40% of remaining weekly usage. Not using Astra for anything other than a plan or review. This after they said usage limits would decrease at end of October. Also evaluating options.
I JUST CANCELLED ALL OF MY CHATGPT SUBSCRIPTIONS.
OpenAI just scammed everybody and BridgeMind is now starting a boycott against OpenAI.
They cut the usage in half yesterday and said better efficiency makes up for it.
This is a lie. GPT 6.1 Sol is just GPT 6 Sol with RL to look better on benchmarks.
If we keep paying, Anthropic and every other lab will follow. Cutting usage is profitable for them.
Do not let OpenAI get away with this.
@sergey_science@hthieblot Some companies will be run incredibly well by a solopreneur. Many others will graduate to needing real customer success teams, sales, and others to scale effectively. The desire to stay a company of one will hold many startups back from ever maturing. Fun balancing act to explore
ok this might be the most aggressively american startup i’ve ever seen 🇺🇸
> they’re trying to build nuclear reactors 100x faster than the nuclear industry ever has
> the founder isaiah taylor grew up on food stamps + dropped out of high school at 16
> his great-grandfather literally worked on the manhattan project
> generations later isaiah built a working nuclear reactor before turning 28 and named it “ward” after him
> the pentagon used 3 military c-17s to airlift the reactor 700 miles from california to utah in a first-of-its-kind mission
> the company culture is hardcore americana
> they hold bible studies, offer raw milk, love fast cars + have a cigar lounge
> plus 4 gigantic patriotic paintings of columbus discovering america, the pilgrims arriving on the mayflower, the signing of the declaration + the constitutional convention
> they sued the nuclear regulatory commission for slowing them down
> valar's end goal is to build the same reactor thousands of times across nuclear “gigasites” to make energy 10x cheaper
> then they'll use that energy to pull carbon out of thin air and turn it into oil and gas for supreme energy abundance
> just raised $1b at a $6b valuation to scale it
> if valar pulls it off, isaiah’s family will have helped usher in both of america’s atomic ages
yeah this gets my vote for most badass startup of the year
I found a Claude skill that plans my entire AI ad before I even open Gemini Omni.
I just send it:
→ the product
→ the ad style (LEGO, crochet, cartoon, Pixar, etc.)
that’s it.
a few seconds later it gives me:
→ a complete script
→ a scene-by-scene breakdown
→ Gemini Omni prompts ready to generate
I don’t waste time figuring out what each scene should look like or rewriting prompts until they work.
I just generate the ad.
It’s the exact workflow I’ve been using to make AI ads for affiliate offers, and it’s cut my creation time by more than half.
RT + comment “SKILL” and I’ll DM you the exact workflow I use to make these ads (Claude skill included).
(must be following for DM)
For mobile control of your coding agent, ChatGPT Codex remote is 10x more reliable than Claude /remote-control for me. Has anyone figured out how to get Claude /remote-control sessions to stay active and accessible longer?
