🚨 IN THE EYE OF THE STORM: The past three days have felt like the absolute peak of this war. Night after night, successive waves of fighter jet airstrikes and non-stop artillery shatter the dark, shook by two violent blasts that made the earth tremble. Amidst this terrifying escalation, our campaign has crawled forward to 93% of our goal. 📈💔
We are only 7% away from completely securing their shield. But while we edge closer to the finish line, my heart breaks for our 17 innocent cats. They are incredibly sensitive to these deafening sounds; at every massive blast, they jump and run in pure terror, desperately searching for a corner to hide. Two weeks ago, I proactively secured a critical 4-month food supply to prevent immediate starvation, but with the battlefield boiling like never before, I cannot leave their future to chance. I must secure the remaining stock for a full 6-month reserve before the doors close completely. Direct support is their only real anchor of safety. 🐾
We are in the absolute final stretch to cross the 100% mark. Please stand with our strategy and bridge the remaining 7% through our Campaign: https://t.co/CzGgwtStPD
while their urgent daily critical meals and emergency vet care continue to rely entirely on your direct support via PayPal:

We refuse to let the terror swallow our compassion. Please be our amplifier today and help us close this goal. Retweet, share, or donate—your empathy is our only armor. 🙏⏳

We took Hannah to her first chemo appointment this morning. Vincristine. Vet charged us almost cost-only because chemo is so expensive. The labs and oral meds are very expensive.
Then this afternoon, the vet called. The flow cytometry is back. Worst case scenario T-cell lymphoma. Very few choices, very little time left, difficult decision coming. That is her bestest friend, the little tabbymese (tabby/Siamese mix) next to her. These two have been inseparable since they met.
What is going on here - the long story is linked below. We are having a cluster of hematologic cancers, all aggressive. One cat, one human and now Hannah the dog. The human and Hannah are fighting for their lives right now. My husband. I dug deep and there is an old chemical spill site very close to me. Just read the story below, if interested.
I decided to go public with this because such stories must go out. There are such sites near many of us. We must identify them and at least know the risks. I should start a separate Twitter page so I do not plug up this space with too lengthy personal stuff but I think there is public interest in such stories.
We are 2 adults in a big rural house on land and a small nonprofit. A real 501(c)3 since we started collecting discarded animals in garbage dumpsters (half our cat and dog population were found this way, sick, injured). We fixed them and adopted many out into homes. We have 20 cats and 5 dogs left who never found a home and we built them a home here in the big space and they are here for life with us. We are unfunded and scraping out of retirement savings.
Now a critical amount of retirement savings is going into a lot of expensive cancer care for my husband. And here comes the huge vet cost. The trouble with using up retirement reserves is that we ARE retired due to health and other issues and there are no reserves coming. So these bills are scary. We just got a fat 5-digit sum paid for my husband in copays for a stem cell transplant. Now come thousands for the dog. If anyone would like to support Hannah's final care or our other many animals, we are a nonprofit and we appreciate any coffee tip or Paypal of any size sent. Nobody should hurt the budget for it. But a lot of people just sending $1 can help get this disaster at least not get worse due to lack of funding.
Many of you have followed me for years and know that I actually never ask for money. This account is not monetized. I have never used my presence here to ask for anything all these years. But ight now, everything is out of funds including my rescue nonprofit. And husband has cancer and my baby on 4 legs has a strange aggressive cancer, too. Anything helps, if you want to send the animals a few dollars. The Paypal is on top of this page. I can give you the name of our nonprofit for tax purposes but it is fully tax-deductible for the animal sanctuary we have. We have 20 cats, many available for adoption, and 5 dogs including Hannah. But Hannah has always been my personal baby. She is one of those incredibly noble creatures, elegant, highly intelligent, gentle and loving.
friend of a friend recently lost their job and needs a bit of help to stay afloat while they search for a new one! if you're able, please share this and donate!🙏

We were silent yesterday—but her treatment could not stop.💔
Saving her eye will take weeks of care, medicine, and patience. We found her before it was too late; now we need your help to complete her treatment.

🚨 STRATEGIC SURVIVAL IN THE FACE OF CRUELTY: In Gaza, we do not have the luxury of waiting for the storm to pass; we must learn to navigate through it. Thanks to your beautiful and relentless souls, our campaign has hit 76% of our goal! 📈 This milestone brings us closer to safety, but with danger closing in from land, air, and sea, logic demands swift action.
Moments ago, the harsh reality struck terrifyingly close—an airstrike targeted civilians right next to a school bus packed with children. This non-stop bombardment proves that threats move faster than delays. Because waiting for 100% amidst this ruthless siege and astronomical inflation is a gamble I refuse to take with my 17 innocent cats, I have made a definitive decision: within the next 2 to 3 days, I will immediately purchase a critical 4-month emergency food supply using what we have raised so far. We are out-thinking the destruction. 🐾
My deepest hope is to reach our full, complete goal during this crucial window to secure the remaining portion of their 6-month strategic reserve. To break this final stretch and shield them permanently before the next wave of war cuts us off, please stand with our resolve through our Campaign: https://t.co/CzGgwtStPD —while their immediate daily critical needs continue to depend on your direct support via PayPal: https://t.co/yfTFqJhED8
We refuse to break, and we refuse to let them starve. On this decisive week, please be our voice. Retweet, share, or donate—your empathy is our only armor. 🙏⏳

Not a single donation came for her yesterday.💔
I’m taking her to the vet now. Her injured eye cannot wait, and neither can her pain.
Yesterday, her cries brought her to us. Today, I just want to give her the treatment she deserves.🥺🐾
Please, my friends, if you can help with her veterinary care today, we truly need you.🙏🇵🇸

At this point I really am gonna have to set up an OF this week despite my fear. It's my last resort. We haven't fundraised anywhere near what is needed and my caretaker and his family have given thousands since April.
Please donate this is my last chance

I haven't been able to eat, and I often throw up due to lack of food and my brother has been repeatedly assaulted by a hotel guest who was beating his girlfriend. We're out of money, it's unsafe, and we still haven't found accessible housing. Please help

🚨 A BIRTHDAY AMIDST THE ASHES: Today, I complete another year of my life. In Gaza, celebrating a birthday is a profound act of defiance against erase. On this day, I don’t look for traditional celebrations—the only gift I desperately ask from this world is to help keep the 17 innocent heartbeats relying on me alive. My deepest prayer as I step into this new year is to undergo a complete transformation, both mentally and physically, and to finally see everything I have ever hoped for become a reality. Driven by this quiet resolve, our campaign has crawled to 72% of our goal, keeping our fragile bridge of hope burning. 📈💔
While we hold onto the light of survival, the violence around us intensifies. Yesterday, fighter jets completely flattened several homes, one just a 5-minute walk from Al-Shifa Hospital. Today, the terror continues from above as drones launch relentless strikes on Al-Jalaa Street and Al-Bahr Street. In this lawless, shrinking space, my young son Ayman and I continue to fight a brutal war against artificial scarcity. Feeding our 17 cats amidst extreme inflation and stagnant financial support remains an agonizing task, but we refuse to let the darkness change our nature. 🐾
We are engineering life where destruction is manufactured daily. To permanently shield these helpless survivors from the looming winter and the next wave of war, we desperately need to break this heavy standstill and secure their 6-month strategic food reserve through our Campaign:

They are trying to silence our compassion, but we are holding the front line. On my birthday, please don't let our voice fade into the dark. Your solidarity is our only shield. Retweet, share, or donate. 🙏⏳

Hunger brought her to the garbage. Even her injured leg couldn’t stop her from searching for something to eat.💔
I found her there today, alone, trying to survive on whatever she could find.
I managed to catch her and immediately took her to be examined.
She went looking for scraps of food… and instead, she found someone who refused to leave her behind.🐾❤️🩹
Please, my friends, stand with us and help us give her the care she needs.🙏❤️

Yesterday, nearly 15,000 people saw our animals celebrating the return of water—but not a single donation came to help us provide their food.💔
Today, I faced two choices: let the shelter animals go hungry, or take their food on credit.
After the water crisis exhausted everything we had, I went to the store completely worn out. The shopkeeper trusted my word and gave me the food, but I must repay the full cost within one week.
I chose the debt because I could never choose their hunger.
Tonight, their bowls are full. Please, friends, help us turn this relief into safety—not another debt we are struggling to repay.🙏🐾

The situation at our shelter is becoming extremely difficult.💔
The water source we depend on has been broken for 3 days, leaving the shelter without water. We’ve tried every possible way to bring water in, but these are only temporary solutions.
We urgently need help to fix the problem and restore water for the animals.🙏💧
