BREAKING NEWS
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2025 #NobelPrize in Chemistry to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi “for the development of metal–organic frameworks.”
It's almost poetic that I get to share this work on the day of my doctoral hooding — my fifth first-author paper is now out in @ACS_Infectious! Here, we report two new membrane protein tuberculosis antigens and explore their immunogenicity. Read here: https://t.co/kBA8g4EoeA
Excited to share my first author paper is out today in Advanced Healthcare Materials! Special shoutout to @Snekumari and @RyanneEhrman for helping me with the 3+ years of work that went into this and @Gassensmith for pushing me through it! https://t.co/jib4ZvSzri
On behalf of Amanda @amorri28 and myself @ShustovaLab - MOF-2026 in New Orleans🎷 #MOF2026🎷- save the dates! Please send us organization suggestions and cannot wait to see you again! Thank you @ZhaoGroupNUS@9thMOF2024 - it was great!😊 Repost is appreciated... 😊

As I begin this new chapter of my life at USF, I'd like to close out my previous with a big thank you to @Gassensmith lab for being such an integral part of my foundation as a (hopefully) future scientist!
Special thank you's to my amazing mentors @Snekumari and @TSHowlett! ❤️
Thrilled to announce our NSF Early Career Award! This funding supports our research on molecular recognition in water via hydrogen bonds. Grateful for NSF's support. Exciting discoveries in supramolecular chemistry await over the coming years—stay tuned! https://t.co/m2jZvDDF74
Excited to share my 1st, first author! It was a great experience putting this review together with exceptional co-firsts @yaliniwijesund2 and @Snekumari. Can't wait to share the cover designed by @Gassensmith

@physorg_com needs to understand that a nanoparticle doesn't become "new" when a big fancy institute uses it in just yet another application. Anyway, here is a comprehensive review covering MOF-based vaccine development efforts over the last decade: https://t.co/rFrZ8NKsVh
Happy to share my fourth first-author paper now out in Chemical Reviews @ACSChemRev! We extensively discuss the scope of utilizing MOFs and COFs in vaccine development - advantages, applications, and avenues to overcome current limitations.

Friends don't let friends make bad charts!
Chenxin Li, pulled together a lot of great advice for data visualization, with clear "do this, not that" examples for each item.
Here are a few of my favorites, see the link below for more.
@Snekumari @Gassensmith Thank you!! You and this lab are a big reason behind my passion for research and I'm infinitely grateful to have gotten the chance to work with you all!! (We'll get tacos to celebrate!! 🎉)
Huge congrats to @Wendy_Tang24, the best undergrad researcher I could have ever asked for in the @Gassensmith lab (and best Taco Tuesday companion, btw). She is currently applying to grad schools, watch out for this jack-of-all-trades scientist!
We celebrated our Fall 2023 Apprentice Teachers completing the UTeach Dallas Secondary STEM teacher preparation program last night. We are so proud of you! You will do great! Whoosh! 💫

Yesterday we had the joy of watching our AT graduates walking across the stage.
(Small grad pic as several of the F23 cohort had already graduated and then went on to AT and several decided not to walk.)
Whoosh! 💫
