@DschlopesIsBack Agreed. Australia has changed. I’m originally Australian and grew up there, but I’m ashamed of their ugly political chants at the World Cup and the booing of their host’s national anthem.
Despicable. They really swallowed all the media Kool-Aid over there. The gullible woke of Australia, proud of themselves chanting media nonsense about the leader of their host country. Nearly all of the other countries have come in a spirit of fun and love and have left the politics out of it.
@allenanalysis Ugly Australians. Pretty much all the other countries have shown fun and love and left the politics out of it. What happened to Aussies?
@LMozisek Absolutely - thank you. I’ve been waiting for this since I arrived in America and became an American 35 years ago. Sung in its natural cadence, it is awe-inspiring.
@EricLDaugh … if they knew who Socrates was … but it’s true they always take performative moral superiority stances, as if they ever had a modicum of decency in them.
@bob_severns@EricLDaugh He doesn’t have a preferred or secret sex orientation or race filter - he likes what he likes. And he likes America, its talent, its culture and especially its citizens.
Do you notice he never gives any specifics? - “building a more resilient economy”, “building stronger relationships,” “promoting business opportunities,” etc. Never details or data… Compare to Trump … his words might be inflammatory but the data underlying his claims, no matter how boastful, is solid.
