The University of Oklahoma is saddened to share the passing of David L. Boren, whose life’s work was rooted in his commitment to the people of Oklahoma and his belief in the power of education to change lives.
A message to our community following the passing of Dr. Berrien Moore III — a remarkable leader, an incredible friend and a beloved member of the OU family.

It was a rare opportunity to have dinner with two fellows from the National Academy of Engineering and two from the National Academy of Inventors. Their career stories were fascinating, but the highlight for me was tasting venison for the first time of my life. lol ;-)
Field work to install a few more sensor instruments to our partners’ electric poles over Anadarko Basin. Super hot out there but we got the job done, and students gained hands on. Cheers!
Glad to host a group of diverse undergraduate students for their Summer Research Experience Program supported by @DOE and @NSF - Their first lab day is about assisting on assembling gas sensor instruments in my lab.
Outstanding work by #OUResearch professors Binbn Wang and David Ebert to tackle the methane emissions monitoring issue. Great support from the DOE and great progress! https://t.co/wFXF5oE3lw
I’ve handled the review of > 1000 papers at @nature. Over time, you notice aspects of presentation on which reviewers tend to comment. In the interests of minimizing hassles during review, I offer the following suggestions (a bit targeted to climate papers).
Congratulations to my graduate student Yang Yan for receiving a poster award in the @OKPVRI symposium this weekend. Ahsan also did a great job on his poster presentation. It was a successful event in Tulsa - learnt a lot and met with old friends.
