@fabiaschi Actually ran a Traveller campaign based off this after I read it. It fits SO well (and an inspiration for the game I guess). Head canon about why the starships are spherical and have a maximum size - that's the maximum size of a jump field.
@lifterman2020@Chainsword40k In 'The Infinite and the Divine', the Ork warship attacking Serenade had big buttons on the bridge control panel labelled 'Go' and 'Stop', so...
Are games insulting you?
The Entertainment Software Association says that a "requirement" of games is to avoid naming difficulty levels in a way that "demeans players".
For Wolfenstein, id Software literally gave the hero a baby bonnet and pacifier if he choose the wimpy difficulty.
I guess the Entertainment Software Association's dictat is why Doom: Dark Ages replaced "I'm Too Young to Die" with "Aspiring Slayer." (Pussies)
I am perfectly happy to be demeaned by a game that says I'm picking the baby level. You?
I think we need to build this.
I designed this below image, representing Lewis and Clark on the Mississippi in the style of Argonath.
At $1 Billion or more, I think it can be done.
WOW! This is the first time we've ever been able to see Starship in space from another object. This view comes from modified Starlink satellite they just deployed that has a camera and a light on it.
Super cool!
