Thank God for Forex
Thank God I believed Forex.
It's My birthday today, and I wanna share a very little part of my Life/Forex Journey.
I got to know about forex somewhere around my SS2/SS3 and then i started the journey alone without any guide at all. I remember back then, opportuned to have a manageable laptop, I will usually go to a semi-abandoned building in my community just to get some quiet space to study and trade[picture below]. It wasn't an easy one. But Fast Forward to today, I have made good progress. All I have, God Gave me. I thank God I never allowed discouragement hold me back. I thank God I trusted the Process and was focused.
The Journey is still Far, Theres still alot to achieve and God Is Helping me.
More wins to me!šš°
Happy Birthday to Me, King Wesley.
2 + 1 looks quite Good on meš
After six years, I just signed out from the university.
To be honest, I thought this day would feel different.
I thought Iād be overwhelmed with excitement. I thought Iād be shouting, celebrating, and counting down the days to freedom. But sitting here now, I find myself doing more reflecting than celebrating.
Because when all the pictures have been taken and the sign-out shirts have faded, one question remains:
āDid I truly make good use of the time I was given here?ā
Six years is a long time.
Long enough to make mistakes.
Long enough to discover yourself and become someone completely different from the person who first walked through the school gates.
When I entered the university, I didnāt know exactly what the future would look like. I just knew I wanted my life to count for something.
Along the way, in my 100lv, 2021, I contested for Mr. MOUAU, I won Mr MOUAU CULTURE.
Later, I contested for Mr. NSCHE and won as the representative of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, MOUAU Chapter.
Those victories were exciting, but with time, I learned that titles donāt change lives. People do. That realization pushed me to do more.
I became obsessed with helping students understand money and finance because I saw how many brilliant young people had little or no financial education. That passion got me to speak at departmental congresses and on panels, including the NSCHE Leadership Summit, where I shared my thoughts on leadership, finance, and personal development.
Then came one of the moments Iāll probably never forget.
Talk Finance with King.
What started as an idea became one of the biggest financial literacy seminars on campus. Hundreds of students attended, and even today, people still tell me how something they learned there changed the way they think about money.
For me, that meant more than any title ever could.
Not every chapter of my journey was a victory though.
In 2024, I contested for Director of Socials.
I lost. The election was cancelled and instead, some persons were appointed.
I wonāt pretend it didnāt hurt.
It did.
I had plans.
I had expectations.
I thought I was ready.
But life has a funny way of teaching lessons through disappointment, Instead of giving up, I came back the following year, contested again, and won.
Today, I sign out as the Director of Socials of NSCHE MOUAU Chapter.
Looking back now, I realize some of my biggest lessons didnāt come from winning.
They came from losing.
They came from being told no.
They came from watching things not go according to plan and deciding to keep moving anyway.
Along the journey, I was privileged to receive recognition as the Best Forex Brand from both the Electrical/Electronics Engineering Department and NSCHE.
I was also honored with the Best Partner Award from Beautiful Nations International and had the privilege of leading a department that was recognized as the best.
For those awards, I am grateful.
But strangely, those arenāt the things I will remember most.
What Iāll remember are the people, The conversations, The late nights, The failed plans, The unexpected opportunities.
The friendships that became family etc
And the moments when God reminded me that I was capable of more.
As I sign out today, I donāt feel like someone who has finished a journey.
I feel like someone who has just completed a phase of preparation, The classroom taught me engineering, The journey taught me leadership.
The people taught me service.
The failures taught me resilience.
And the process taught me who I am.
So no, Iām not leaving with just a degree.
Iām leaving with stories.
Iām leaving with lessons.
Iām leaving with gratitude.
And most importantly, Iām leaving with the responsibility to make the next chapter count even more than this one.
Six years laterā¦
Only gratitude.
Signed Out. š
Unto the next..
GOD IS THE GREATEST REGARDLESS!
I left my parents house at 17yrs and now Iām in 20s. These are five things Iāve learned through experience since I left my parentsā house at 17 to live on my own.
Iām sharing this to help young guys and ladies out there, especially guys. Lessons that can help you live better, make better decisions, and get better results in life.
1. You need people.
Even if you have a lot of money, there are moments where money alone wonāt save you. Imagine being stranded at 2 a.m, your gate man or neighbor might be more useful at that moment than millions in your account. In a health emergency or critical situation, the people around you can make the difference between life and death.
So build good relationships. Be good to people. Honor people. Donāt look down on anyone, your gate man, cleaner, delivery guy, laundry guy, or neighbor etc . Anyone can save your life or help you when you least expect.
2. It is better to buy things in bulk than in bits.
When buying in bulk, It may feel like you are spending more at once, but in the real sense, buying in bits costs you even more money, time, and energy. Bulk buying saves you money, reduces stress, and saves you time.
Buy your foodstuffs, toiletries, fuel, and essentials in bulk whenever you can. Itās simply more efficient.
3. Always save.
Donāt eat all your income at once. Whatever you earn, try to set something aside. Life has seasons, and not all seasons are good. Savings will carry you through the tough times.
Also, opportunities donāt always announce themselves. Sometimes, you need quick access to money to take advantage of them. Whether itās buying something valuable at a discount or investing in a sudden opportunity. If you donāt have savings, you would miss out.
So learn to save.
4. If you need something that improves your life, and you have the money. Buy it. Donāt overthink it.
If you are trying to get something that will increase your efficiency, productivity, or quality of life, get it if you can afford it.
If you need a car to save time, reduce stress, and improve productivity, get it. If you need to install solar panels to stabilize your power situation, do it. Do things when you have the capacity to do them.
One mistake people make is overthinking and procrastinating until they eventually donāt buy what they originally planned to buy and worse still, they canāt even account for where the money went.
So when itās necessary and you can afford it, act.
Also, when buying things, think with the future in mind. Donāt just buy for your current level.
For example, if you want a fridge, donāt rush for a āstudent fridgeā if you already know youāll grow beyond that. If you can afford a bigger and better one, go for it.
If youāre getting a generator, donāt just think small because of now, consider what youāll need as your life expands. Same thing with TVs, gadgets, and other investments. Buy based on where you are going, not just where you are.
5. Take your spiritual life seriously. Grow your spirit man.
When you live alone, you realize quickly that there are moments where no one is there to guide you daily. That is why your spiritual life becomes very important.
Build your relationship with God. Grow your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Strengthen your spirit man.
There are situations in life where just one instruction, just a simple inner prompting can save your life. I experienced something recently where I almost lost my life, but a simple instruction to pray changed everything. I had an accident that could have ended badly, but it didnāt.
So I donāt take spiritual things lightly.
Anyone who tells you that you donāt need God, or discernment, or spiritual guidance is not speaking from wisdom. Because life will test you in ways money, intelligence, or human support cannot handle.
Train your spirit to discern, to sense, and to know.
If this is your first time, Iām King Wesley.
You should follow me..
Something really crazy happened. In 2024, I decided to take the gym seriously.
Iāve always been a big guy, about 6ft, naturally broad, but I wanted more than just ānatural size.ā I wanted to actually build something. So I started going consistently. Nothing fancy at first, just showing up, learning, pushing myself little by little.
And it started working.
My body began to change. My chest filled out, my arms got bigger, my whole frame started to look different. I could see progress, real progress and I liked it.
But then⦠people started talking.
āYouāre getting too big.ā
āYou look scary.ā
āYouāre starting to look like a bouncer.ā
At first, I didnāt take it seriously. But over time, those comments started to sit somewhere in my mind. I didnāt even realize it, but I began to adjust.
I told myself maybe I should slow down.
Maybe I was overdoing it.
Maybe they were right.
So I stopped.
What I thought would be a short break turned into a long one.
Throughout 2025, I wasnāt consistent anymore. I wasnāt pushing. I just⦠paused.
Then 2026 came, and I found myself around a different group of guys.
These guys were strong. Built. Disciplined.
And for the first time in a while, I saw myself clearly, not through peopleās opinions, but through reality.
I wasnāt ātoo big.ā
I was actually one of the smallest there.
That moment humbled me, but it also woke me up.
Everything people had told me before started to make sense, not because it was true, but because of where it came from. They werenāt really measuring me against what I could become⦠they were measuring me against themselves.
And my growth made them uncomfortable.
That realization changed everything.
I went back to the gym, but this time it felt different. I wasnāt trying to prove anything to anyone. I just knew I had more in me, and I wasnāt going to let noise stop me again.
I trained harder.
I got stronger.
More consistent. More focused.
And this time, I stopped listening to opinions that didnāt match where Iām trying to go.
Because I understand something now:
When people tell you youāre doing too much, sometimes itās not about you.
Sometimes itās just that youāre moving in a direction theyāre not ready for.
Sometimes it's just that your efforts are making them feel insecure about theirselves.
And thatās okay.
Iām not stopping again
