There is a terrible act of injustice happening in our country right now impacting US veterans and their family members, and it’s something I’ve been reporting on for a while.

For several decades, victims of the Camp LeJeune water contamination crisis have been denied the compensation they deserve, despite suffering from cancers, neurological disorders, and other devastating illnesses caused by toxic exposure.

From 1953 to 1987, over a million veterans, their families, and civilians were exposed to highly toxic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like TCE, PCE, vinyl chloride, and benzene in the base’s groundwater, with contamination levels far exceeding safe limits. Despite clear evidence of harm, federal officials concealed the issue, delaying action until 1987 and leaving victims without recourse for years.

The Camp LeJeune compensation crisis stands as one of the most egregious examples of government failure to address toxic exposure and deliver justice to military families. 

I have obtained documentation of 5 offers of judgment from the Department of Justice to people who served or worked at Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Base who later developed terrible diseases like cancer or Parkinson’s.

And they’re far from the only ones. Thousands of people who lived or served on that base later got seriously sick, and most of those diseases have been tied back to the poisoned water at Camp LeJeune, which the US government knew about but covered up for YEARS.

The five people listed in this thread are just a handful of victims who have gone public with the shameless “offers of judgment” the US government has recently offered them.

Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward @ASGWoodward at the DOJ signed off on these disgraceful offers after being put in charge of the Camp LeJeune settlements earlier this year.

The Trump administration has a critical opportunity to deliver justice to the veterans and families harmed by the Camp LeJeune crisis.

Many of these victims have already spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on treatment and care as a result of their illnesses from their time at Camp LeJeune. The offers they’ve received do not make them financially whole, and they also don't account for the years stolen from the victims, or from their families, who have had to watch them suffer.

🚨 PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN COURT TODAY.

Judge Timothy Kelly did NOT automatically restore CNN, MS NOW, or Politico’s White House press passes. He heard the arguments, did not issue a ruling from the bench, and their credentials remain revoked for now.

That matters.

Because the DOJ’s argument was NOT simply that these reporters were rude to President Trump.

The administration accused these outlets of publishing sensitive or classified information and reporting that raised serious national security concerns.

And DOJ laid out specific examples.

🔴 CNN: Reporting about a “top secret” bunker beneath the East Wing ballroom and other coverage involving the Iran war.

🔴 MS NOW: Reporting involving the Iran war, U.S. military munitions, and an alleged leak investigation.

🔴 Politico: Reporting involving Secret Service security improvements connected to the ballroom, discussions over Russia sanctions, and a story based on anonymous sources about the Republican congressional midterm convention.

The administration argued that publishing sensitive information can create national security risks and force officials to determine whether information is classified and what consequences its disclosure could have.

DOJ also made a much broader legal argument: “Access to the White House is a privilege — not a right.” The government is asking the court to recognize broad presidential authority over White House press access and has even argued that the precedent governing White House press credentials should be overturned.

And after hearing all of this today, THE BADGES STAYED PULLED.

So no, this case is not simply about Trump being upset because reporters asked tough questions.

We’re talking about allegations involving classified information, national security, military operations, White House security, and the scope of presidential authority over press access.

Read the filings. Read what was actually argued in court.

Texas DPS has confirmed a technical issue caused an unknown number of voter registrations to not be processed.

Civix, a company you’ve probably never heard of, received a $36M contract for the Texas Election Administration Management system, happens to be a steady employer of H-1Bs. How many of these foreigners are working on critical election infrastructure?

Assuming Civix points fingers at DPS, lets look at that side of the data handoff…

LCA files show Wise Equation Solutions, LLC, claim H-1Bs are placed directly at Texas DPS, on a remote work arrangement, in Quality Assurance roles.
