Studying mechanisms of normal heart development and the pathogenesis of congenital heart malformations and developmentally-based heart diseases in the adult
I am writing to announce that after 10 years I have decided to step down as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease (JCDD) as of May 1st 2023.
@BjarkeJensen4 As the EiC for JCDD (yes, only for one more month) I can tell you that the Special Issues have their own valuable place in our journal. You are entitled to your opinion, but the quality of a SI can be controlled by the SI editor .. so there is that 😀

I am very excited to see our paper "Sox9 Expression in the Second Heart Field; A Morphological Assessment of the Importance to Cardiac Development with Emphasis on Atrioventricular Septation" published in JCDD. https://t.co/vSIGQZUyu2
@CircRes The migration of epicardially-derived cells into the (compact) myocardium of the mouse has been described by several others many years ago (e.g. Wessels et al., Developmental Biology, 2012)
@JCDD_MDPI As the editor-in-chief of JCDD, I'd like to congratulate the authors with the publication of this paper. In addition, I am happy to share the news that our IF has increased to 4.415 !! #mdpijcdd
