Handle of the Edmondson Community Organization in Central W. Baltimore & HUB West Baltimore CDC. Vacants into homes. Homes into a community. The future is now.
The line waiting for express buses near the Friendship Heights Metro station. Today Bethesda, Grosvenor, and Medical Center on the Red Line shut down for two months. Each bus seats about 50 people. #wmata
The Brice Greenway is in the community-approved Midtown-Edmondson & MARC Station Area Master Plan. But will it ever become a reality if the City gives up its leverage here with no negotiation? Integrated amenities in disinvested areas are critical for revitalization
Amtrak acquisitions @ Planning Commission on the 16th. Huge chunk of Midtown-Edmondson (W Balt) potentially gone forever. Now would be the time (elected leaders) to negotiate an easement for a greenway to run along the tracks post-construction. Amtrak planning to fence it all.
If the City sells it without an easement, can we count on Amtrak to take down the unnecessary fencing and let a community badly in need of green space AND better ways to get around actually use some of the land? Amtrak's rendering for post-construction below
Midtown-Edmondson & the MARC Station Area's "Environment & Green Infrastructure Plan" - with ultra-ambitious tree cover goals is being developed now. Delivery by the end of the summer. Green infrastructure (and transportation)-led revitalization to come. Be a part of it!
@justin_fenton Why are we tearing Harborplace down? Makes no sense. Every other city is leaning into their markets and reaping billions in nearby development (hello DC's Union Market). How about we just run them well, maintain them properly, and ensure safety. Tenants and guests will come
@GovWesMoore If we're actually serious about this in Baltimore, then we have to focus more on transit. Light rail - & the DECADES wasted talking about Red Line - have been a disaster. East-west needs to be Metro if we want a reasonable chance at TOD like Arlington. https://t.co/zzfwvneuhC
Light Rail Alert: Trains are single tracking between North Avenue and Camden Station due to a track obstruction. Expect delays in both directions.

Metro, duh. Cheaper, blazingly fast, zero disruption downtown, more productive use of highly-underutilized existing infrastructure... This isn't that hard. Metros build Northeast Corridor cities. Light rail just tears down street life and slows connectivity.
Due to funding uncertainty, we are reviewing ways to deliver the Red Line and are asking for community input through a short survey to help us choose the best path forward.
Visit https://t.co/z3LLgpooXI today to take the survey.

This is what it sounds like living next to a data center. The video below was recorded at midnight, and the data center is situated next to 100s of residential homes.
METRO: cheaper, blazingly faster, light years better. Why are we even talking about anything else? Can we finally put an end to this sad 25-year Red Line light rail charade. Light rail = snail rail. Buses = Hogan 2.0 @GovWesMoore@MayorBMScott https://t.co/BLEL1smL8h
@BaltimoreBanner@LeslieStreeter Metro -cheaper, blazingly fast, light years better. Why are we even talking about anything else. Light rail = snail rail. Buses = Hogan 2.0
RIP Civil Rights Act. Whatever you think about that law, no one can deny that gerrymandering is now gonna get worse. We're going to end up with only single-party states, and that's not good for America, nor for democracy. Is it time to think about a Constitutional Convention?
