@WestGap there is a Glasgow-based workshop on the future of social security - an opportunity to bring our learning from advising the community, particularly in relation to #UniversalCredit
Sad news. WestGap saved me so many times when i was in poverty and dealing with severe depression. Gutted they can't continue to provide their advice service. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone at WestGap for your amazing, life-sustaining work!!!
**ADVICE SERVICE CLOSING**
See attached for explanation. Unfortunately we don't have enough volunteer capacity to run a regular advice service, but we want to keep fighting #austerity and supporting our community.

Universal Credit is coming to Shettleston Jobcentre on 5th December. Due to the built-in 5 week wait, people claiming on day one won’t get any money until at least the 9th of January.
The @DWP should stop the roll out and fix this broken system.
