Does David Sullivan still own the club and has just stepped away in a leadership capacity or how does that work?
If that is the case then Karim is just his pawn, pseudo-leadership type of thing.
Will still be pulling the strings, unofficially.
I think due to his age this makes more sense than taking a year out in the championship unfortunately. He might not have a tonne of years left to play at the top level and has worked his ass off to get there from non-league.
Would be the most painful one to leave.
Gordon going for 70 million.
How much are we getting for Summerville then? If he has a good World Cup then surely we can get 35-40?
When fully fit he was brilliant this season.
Think Wilson was used correctly for the most part this season - bit part and impact sub. He may not have liked it but that’s when he played his best football for us, he was largely ineffective when he started matches.
Should’ve came to us a few years sooner…
Would’ve liked to keep him all the same and wish him all the best.
BREAKING: Callum Wilson basically confirms in statement on Instagram that he is not signing a contract extension with West Ham and will be leaving the club when his deal ends next month.
Thanks for your efforts, Callum.
Off to Coventry? Likely.
Realistically this is the correct call. People are pissed that he took us down and I get that, but second half of the season was a glimpse of what he can do with his own players.
More importantly he can take us back up and keep us there unlike other names linked. A new face is more of a gamble, and we would essentially be starting from scratch.
A full reset for style of play/personnel etc probably only works when Sullivan finally goes.
@WestHamViews_@EastHammers@JacobSteinberg Would be an extremely successful window if we can keep hold of these lot. Better than any signings we could make while retaining a very competent spine that can be supplemented with some youngsters / new signings
@Hammers091 He made a lot of mistakes as well don’t get me wrong. But Don’t think there’s many better options that would take on a championship club tbh. He’s a premier league level manager
@dagenhamboy Yes he made some mad calls in the run in I agree. Just think if we had been relegated under a different manager and Nuno was available, he would be the best option. He’s a premier league level manager.
@Roff79 Yea Nuno did himself no favours at times I agree with you. Newcastle, Palace games in the run in were pathetic. I’d rather a change from ultra defensive football if we were to make a change and a full reset. Wishful thinking
I’d rather keep Nuno than get Scott Parker in as manager, a manager who is an expert in taking teams back down after promotion.
This season wasn’t good enough by Nuno but he had us in top 10ish form second half of the season. First half, the problems really weren’t his own doing.
Different story all together if they went and got someone ambitious in.
