I've learned an incredible amount from you over the years, so I was hoping we could use your collected wisdom for some guidance. Sorry if this is weird coming out of the blue, and no worries if it's not something you have the time to do. I figured I'd ask just in case! (3/)
.@lgbtqfc Hi Kim... my wife created/teaches a Women's History elective course in FCPS, and she is working on curriculum development right now ahead of the course going countywide this fall. One of the units is Women in Sports, and she is trying to pull resources for it. (1/)
I hope you don't mind me reaching out cold, but I thought of you... I've followed you for a long time on my no-tweet/just-read account (@cjogrady79), since you were writing for SBN... and I was wondering if you have some "all teenage kids should read this piece" recs. (2/)
@CassRMorris@B_Barbarian I'll echo Timbuk2. I'm on my second one (not because #1 needed replacing... they released one with a California flag-inspired design and I *had* to have it...) and I love them. Eight years in and almost no wear/tear on it. I also have one of their rolling suitcases.
"If we want teachers to focus less on grades and more on feedback and growth, don’t we as administrators need to do the same?" @CarlaMeyrink#tg2chat

Reminds me of high schools that offer "coping with stress" tips for students...while refusing to address the structural causes (grades, competition, homework). It's like a factory that pollutes the air but kindly offers gas masks to nearby residents.
We were reminded of the true weight of words when @TheAmandaGorman took the stage at the presidential inauguration to read her poem “The Hill We Climb.” @Oprah sits down with her to discuss that unforgettable moment and more.
Don’t miss #TheOprahConversation, coming March 26.
We need eight more people to sign up for Shakespeare Studies for next year... by Friday... and all I've got at this point is memes... #KeepShakesStudiesAlive
Reminder - Friday is the last day to change your course requests before our freeze for staffing! Email any changes to your counselor ASAP! @WestPotomacPTSA
An actual statement uttered in this year's Shakespeare Studies class a moment ago:
"I don't know if I can tweet 'Mark Beaks with a knife'..."
Surely that makes you want to take the class, right? #KeepShakesStudiesAlive
Hey @SoonToBeMayor: I think you might want to make "I'll try but..." the centerpiece of your next ad.
You can thank me by getting ten kids to take Shakespeare Studies. 😉
