@NorthrnPrspectv Good example of how when Canadian media pushes back on Liberal politicians, it's always because they aren't implementing the nanny state fast enough. They never push back on the need for the nanny state.
@sarobertson_ This is something politicians and social studies teachers say but beyond that there is no tangible evidence of any distinction.
As if immigrants read a pamphlet on arrival that substantially changes how they express their culture.
@JohnRustad4BC So he stabs a random guy multiple times in the back and only serves 2 years. Now apparently he's killed a guy but is only facing manslaughter charges?
Wtf is going on?
@RayBernoties I don't mind the lower speed limits but they seem pretty irrelevant in Victoria given there's no enforcement and you couldn't speed if you wanted to with so many traffic lanes removed.
I just wish we'd at least enforce red light running. It's getting dangerous out there.
@constans Canadian provinces have a great amount of power due to the same assumption that America made with it's constitution.
Both assumed residual powers would expand but in both cases it was enumerated powers that expanded instead.
@AlberduhAntifa@preta_6 No. I'm saying let owners and managers make the call without fear of repercussions.
Can we please not legislate every single goddamn type of human interaction and leave some things to common sense?
@AlberduhAntifa@preta_6 Yes it does solve it. Trans people should use the which ever restroom they pass as and owners/managers should be able to ask them to leave if there are complaints without being dragged before a HRT.
We've failed as a society if we need laws to designate which restrooms to use.
@robbysoave I have multiple friends who have said they aren't having kids because they think the world will be shit because of climate change.
I don't think that's the actual reason though.
@GailSmithlegal@dougcraig3@NVanCaroline How should a nurse handle a situation where they need to determine if alcohol consumption is a factor when asking about it is considered offensive?
What gives - the medical imperative or the cultural safety?
